Because I am Loved ~
Because I am loved,
I am humble . . .
under my cares
I don’t crumble.
Because I am humble,
I am set free
from the devil
I am able to flee.
Because I am free,
I am forgiven
to holy living
I am driven.
Because I am forgiven,
I am saved
to the world’s ways
I’m no longer a slave.
Because I am saved,
I am strong
no more desire
I have to do wrong.
Because I was loved,
by Jesus first . . .
after righteousness
I hunger and thirst!
~~~~~~~~
Humble yourselves therefore under
the mighty hand of God, that he
may exalt you in due time:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you.
We love him,
because he first loved us.
Awesome Blossoms ~
Awesome blossoms,
buds of hope on a stem
my summer garden grows . . .
like my faith I have in Him.
In my flower beds,
each bloom provides
reminders to praise God
for all He supplies.
White and yellow daisies,
petals picked one by one
let know me how I am loved
by my Father and His Son.
Lavender branches,
tied up with some string
keepsakes of the future
and the peace He’s to bring.
Pink and blue forget-me-nots,
spread across the ground
reminding me to share
the Savior I have found.
Awesome blossoms,
summer arranged in a vase
each flower a memento . . .
of God’s love and grace!
~~~~~~~~
“And the grace of our Lord
was exceeding
abundant with faith
and love which is in
Christ Jesus.”

Deeper Things ~
Father, this is a new day,
You have given me . . .
a day to search and to find
the deeper things of Thee.
Help me to use it wisely,
for, to You it’s a treasure
granted to me to get to know
what brings Your heart pleasure.
Father, this is a new day,
for me to lift my voice to You
a day to seek and to find
what with it You’d have me to do.
Help me to grow my knowledge,
about Your awesome fear
so that I will remain humble
whenever to You I near.
Father, this is a new day,
to me You’ve graciously given . . .
a day for me to dive deeper
into the things in You still hidden!
~~~~~
My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for
hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the
fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God.
That Beam ~
God’s Word will remove,
that beam in your eye
if only the truth . . .
you’ll readily apply.
It will take that beam,
of vanity and pride
and help you to see
your own faults inside.
God’s Word will expose,
that beam in your sight
if only the truth . . .
you’ll see in His light.
It will reveal that beam,
of spitefulness and envy
and help you to see
their your own worst enemy.
God’s Word will unmask,
that beam in your soul
so judgment of others . . .
you’ll learn to control!
~~~~~~
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be
measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote
that is in thy brother’s eye,
but considerest not the beam
that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother,
Let me pull out the mote out of
thine eye; and, behold, a beam
is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out
the beam out of thine own eye;
and then shalt thou see clearly
to cast out the mote out of thy
brother’s eye.

Grace Is Freeing ~
Grace is freeing,
liberating too
grace makes
all things new.
Grace erases,
shames past
graces brings
hope that lasts.
Grace allows,
a clean slate
grace gives
a new birth date.
Graces delivers,
a fresh start
grace softens
a stony heart.
Grace is freeing,
absolving too
grace puts faith
right into you!

the law, but under grace.
