Let Me have that,
put it right here in My palm
let Me take that from you
so I can pass to you My calm.
Give that to Me,
you don’t need to carry it
give it all to Me
in My hand it will surely fit.
Place that right here,
don’t hang on to that thing
I want the all of it
so My peace I can bring.
Let Me have that,
release it all into My care
give it entirely to Me . . .
and let Me that burden bear!
~~~~~~~~
“Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”
Denine, I have been hearing this for months. When a thought or situation came along I would hear the Holy Spirit whisper “give it to Me” “let Me have that” each time I did just that I found peace. When I sat down and wrote this it all came together in minutes. Our God is so good to us. Things can be so simple if we just give it all over to Jesus 🙂 ~ Blessings ~
I like that. I don’t know why we keep holding stuff. I’m 45 and its starting to make me look old. There’s my motivation. LOL
Thank you. A little dark slips in here and there- generally based on my past pains and rebellion. But God is light within my heart.
Reblogged this on Where Words Daily Come Alive and commented:
Deborah Ann has been a friend and sister to me for a while now, and what she brings to life within her words, can change the complexion of ones day! She never ceases to amaze me, and I think all who I know will agree and enjoy her poetry….she shares daily, and will certainly give you a lift before you walk out the door!
Why do we wait so long to let go? Great reminder of the Father’s desire to help us if we would only let Him.
Indeed we hang on to “it” for as long as we can. Doesn’t make much sense to me either but I know I am guilty of not letting go fast enough! ~ Blessings in Jesus ~
