Lord, another day is over,
a new night begins to dawn
I sit in the darken silence
and to You I am drawn.
Move me closer to You,
draw me ever near
lift from me my burdens
take from me my fear.
Encourage me to seek You,
so Your mercies I can know
give me Your assurance . . .
tonight in Your grace I will grow.
Help me to see Your purpose,
influence me to seek Your will
lead me to Your perfect peace
teach me to be calm and still.
Advance me towards Your goal,
further me along the righteous way
as I race for You tomorrow . . .
I praise and thank You ~ for today!

Hi there. I don’t know what to call it! It is what God gives me and I think it would fall into something like a normal rhyming poem . . .with plenty of errors 🙂

So is there any rules or counting syllables or stanzas? I would like to try one. Can you share just the basics of how to do one?

Oh, the rules are many and that is where I really mess up . . . so I just go with my own flow. But, I do have some really good info that I can email you on poetry. I will go to your blog and tomorrow send you some of the basics for you to use. Thanks for visiting my blog ~ Blessings ~
