Encourage One Another ~

Listen used with permission from Doorpost Verses on facebook

Encourage one another,
hold someone up in prayer
let others know how much
for them you really care.

Listen to their problems,
feel their aches and pains
help them to see that Jesus
has His hand on the reins.

Bring comfort to a friend,
lift up how their feeling
remind them that God
is still into inner healing.

Help them to be stronger,
in their trust and belief
assure them the Holy Spirit
will bring their soul relief.

Encourage one another,
support the down trodden
people just need to know
they haven’t been forgotten!

Use Me Lord ~

The Harvest used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook
Use my eyes Lord,
so that I might see
all those who are
seeking after Thee.

Use my ears Lord,
so that I may hear
the crying out of those
who live in fear.

Use my tongue Lord,
so that I may confess
and tell the world
of Your Righteousness.

Use my arms Lord,
so I may reach out
and gather up those
filled with doubt.

Use my legs Lord,
let them run free
to bring lost sheep
back unto Thee.

Use me Lord,
use all of me . . .
a part of Your harvest
I labor to be!

~~~~~~
Luke 10:2
King James Version
“Therefore said he unto them,
The harvest truly is great,
but the labourers are few:
pray ye therefore the Lord
of the harvest,
that he would
send forth labourers
into his harvest.
Sweet Release ~
His Compassions used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook
Lord, tonight I am tired,
weary and sleepy too
but, I know in the morning
I will start afresh in You.
But, for now I need rest,
on Your mercy I’ll lay my head
as I turn down the blankets
Your grace will cover my bed.
I’ll think of Your goodness,
Your compassion and Your love
visions of eternal life with You
will be all I’ll be dreaming of.
Sweet release will be mine,
from the hardships of the day
for I trust Your faithfulness
tomorrow will not go away!
Lamentations 3:22-23
King James Version
“It is of the Lord’s mercies
that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.”
Living In The Light ~
Living in the Light ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Living in the light,
brings about true freedom
it will give you access
to God’s eternal kingdom.
It exposes the sin,
that is enslaving you
as it directs you to the cross
it will show you what to do.
Living in the light,
gives new purpose to life
no more aimless drifting
no more fighting daily strife.
It will guide and lead you,
closer to God every day
for the truth will shine
grace and mercy on your way.
Living in the light,
brings joy and vitality
gone are the gloomy days
for there is a new reality.
No more living in fear,
no more feeling all alone
living in the light
is trusting in God’s Son.
Living in the light,
isn’t very hard to do
but, following Jesus
is all up to you!
~~~~~~~~~

John 8:12
King James Version

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me
shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Resting in the Lord ~

Be Still and Know used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook
I’m resting,
I’m waiting on the Lord
some people say . . .
I look a little bored.

But, I’m trusting,
see how I am still
it’s because I know
it’s all about His will.

Yep, that me,
looking sweet as a lamb!
Only because I know . . .
He sees me as I am.

Waiting, anticipating,
nothing to worry about
I have faith in my Lord
what is there to doubt?

God’s timing is perfect,
so I am just hanging
He’s teaching me to be still
and I’m not even panting!

Day by Day ~

In the Morning used with permissoin Doorpost Verses on Facebook

Day by day, I pick up my cross,
carry it wherever I go
and I pray with all of my heart
each day ~ God’s ways I will know.

Hour by hour, I must die to self,
all of my earthly desires
and I pray with all of my might
each hour ~ I’ll do what He requires.

Minute by minute, I’m being tested,
to deny my own self-worth
and I pray with all of my mind
each minute ~ for a spiritual rebirth.

Moment by moment, I’m exposed,
to my old-self, my sin, the shame
and I pray with all of my soul
each moment ~ a new life in His name.

Day to-day, I travel the road,
to give God my complete surrender
and I pray with all of my heart
each day ~ my life to God I’ll render.

I’m Sick and I’m Tired!

The End by Matthew Scribner free photo #4754
I’m sick of all the murder,
I’m sick of all the death
I’m sick of all the killers
taking away another’s breath.

I’m sick of all the pedophiles,
I’m sick of all the abuse
I’m sick of all the child incest
for which there is no excuse.

I’m sick of sexual orientation,
I’m sick of alternative lifestyle
I’m sick of being called a bigot
for not being tolerant and versatile.

I’m sick of the pornography,
I’m sick of the sexual deviant
I’m sick of the government
making new laws lenient.

I’m sick of abortion,
I’m sick of Roe vs. Wade
I’m sick of killing babies
the “Great Slaughter” of our decade.

I’m sick of those on the left,
I’m sick of what they think is right
I’m sick of living in the darkness
and having to battle for God’s light.

Lord, I’m sick and I’m tired,
of sin of every kind
but what really makes me ill . . .
is how Satin controls the mind!

Cries From the Heart . . .

Bleeding Heart by Brian Cole free photo #2389

When the heart cries to be heard,
yet it shares not a single word
when it yearns to speak to another
yet its voice it can’t uncover.

When the heart needs someone else,
another person stronger than itself
when it feels the tug of deep emotion
and has the need for true devotion.

When the heart ceases its futile search,
and comes down from its high perch
it will see its looked in all the wrong places
for man can’t fill the need for God’s graces.

For the heart that cries and is not heard,
needs to cleave onto the Good Word . . .
there they will find God has an ear
and cries from the heart . . . He’ll always hear.

“I love the Lord, because he hath heard my
voice and my supplications. Because he hath
inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call
upon him as long as I live.”

Left Behind!

Two Women from Doorposr Verses on Facebook used with permission

Will I be her?
Will I be the one
who’s left behind . . .
will I be that one?

It’s a question,
we all need to raise
are you, will you . . .
be the one who stays?

What does it take,
for us to be taken?
What do we need to do
so we’re not the one forsaken?

Will you remain,
are you sure, you are going?
Or will you be left behind
abandoned, and never knowing?

I Will Sing ~

I will sing to You my Lord,
about Your faithfulness
I will praise You all my days
to show my gratefulness.

I will lift up my voice,
sing my hearty praise
I will hold my head up high
as my gratitude I raise.

I will sing to You my Lord,
about Your loving kindness
I will praise Your holy name
to show to You my fondness.

I will lift up my arms,
sing my heart out to You
for You are so good to me
in all the things You do.

I will sing to You my Lord,
about your grace bountiful
I will sing of Your mercy
abundant and plentiful!

Just A Touch Of His Hem . . .

Encounters by Cameron Smith free photo Creationswap

When I saw Him from a distance,
I ran and followed after Him
I believed all that I needed
was just a touch ~  of His hem.

For years I have been shunned,
turned away by those around me
so I hid myself in the crowd
praying my shame ~ He wouldn’t see.

As He passed  by I reached down,
and took from Him, my cure
for this man that they call Jesus
I knew He’d heal, if my faith was pure.

He stopped and called me His daughter,
when my belief in Him I revealed
and from that very moment
from my disease I was healed.

He bid to me to go in good comfort,
saying my faith had made me whole
I believe  as  I touched His hem . . .
He imparted His favor onto my  soul.

There is a moral to my story,
never be too ashamed of your illness or sin
for Jesus still  heals our weaknesses
if you just let Him touch you ~ from within!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matthew 9:20-22
King James Version
“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased
with an issue of blood twelve years, came
behind him, and touched the hem of his
garment: For she said within herself, If I
may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he
saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good
comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.
And the woman was made whole from that hour. “
Rejection’s Tears . . .
Tears by John Emery free photo #14718
Tears drip,
from swollen eyes
rejection again . . .
the heart cries.
Loss of arm,
or another limb
would hurt no more
or be less grim.
To feel the pain,
of denial
then to have to . . .
force a smile.
There can be,
no greater grief
but God’s mercy
will bring relief!
The Sin of Bitterness~
Bitterness is A Sin ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I saw the look of bitterness,
staring at me in the face
it held no compassion
nor any mercy or no grace.
It’s beady, steely eyes,
look right past my soul
making it clear to me
resentment was its goal.
I could see into the gaze,
of someone who can’t forgive
and the cause of the problem
how they constantly relive.
They say if looks could kill,
right now I’d be dead . . .
for the look of bitterness
has an evil, toxic head.
Bitterness is a sin,
destructive in every way
its roots need to be destroyed
for hearts and souls are its prey!
Hebrews 12:15
King James Version
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,
and thereby many be defiled;”
I May Be Daffy . . . But!
How Many Are Your Work used with permission DoorPost Verses on Facebook
I believe God created me,
some think that makes me daffy
but I don’t care what they say
for in Jesus I am happy.
I believe in Creation,
others have their own theory
when I say that’s not the way
it only brings out their fury.
I know God created everything,
His works I will not deny
all the other assumptions
are just a product of Satin’s lie.
I believe God did it all,
in just seven days . . .
and that is why today
I trust the wisdom of His  ways!
The Man and His Dog!
Let us love one another used with permission from DoorPost Verses on Facebook
Yesterday ~ I met a man and his dog,
out on the street . . .
he was worn and ragged
said his dog needed a treat.
He scared and alarmed me,
when I said I had nothing to give
he cussed and swore at me
for the life, he had to live.
I quickly walked to my car,
he followed closely after me
screaming and yelling . . .
“Are your eyes to blind to see?”
I started to drive away,
ready to call the police . . .
when a still voice spoke to me
and gave me much peace.
I didn’t have much money,
but I gave it all to the man
and said I was sorry . . .
his troubles I didn’t understand.
I told him about God,
about new life in His Son
where mercy and grace
would undo the sins he’d done.
I don’t know if he heard,
don’t know if he cares
but the man and his dog,
will always be in my prayers!
His Staff and His Rod ~
Fear used with permission DoorPost Verses on Facebook
Salvation is just the beginning.
of a relationship with God
soon thereafter, you’ll meet
His staff and His rod.
For inviting Jesus into your life,
doesn’t stop right there . . .
it will take a whole lot more
than a simple quoted prayer.
In order to be saved,
to know the truth and the way
you will need to change
the things you do and say.
Grace will be granted,
to those who surrender
and to Jesus your life
you’ll have to totally render.
Then His staff and rod,
will guide and lead you
and the fear of God . . .
will awe and inspire you too!
Rusty And Corrupt ~
Do Not Store used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook
I am saving for the future,
got my treasures stored
I am investing in the day
when I will meet my Lord.
Though I may not be rich,
I give to God what I can
and I am always willing
to lend a helping hand.
I don’t own a lot of things,
go ahead and call me nuts . . .
but denying worldly pleasures
takes an awful lot of guts.
I’m keeping my life simple,
so little days to spend here
I’m just biding my time
till His trumpet call I hear.
Rusty and corrupt,
material things just decay
but when God you trust . . .
you’ll see resurrection day!
and where thieves do
not break through nor steal:”
Strength For the Task!
Grant Me used with permision from DoorPost Verses on Facebook
I don’t want much,
there’s so little that I ask
but I do need God to give me
strength for the task.
Temptation is so real,
I sit in front of it every day
and I really have to learn
how to look the other way.
At times I linger around,
for what I think I need
and on the attraction . . .
I wait to feast and feed.
Oh, that God would grant me,
the power to overcome
for my hope is one day . . .
all temptation ~ I’ll outrun!
How Precious Am I!
How Precious used with permission from Doorpost Verses on Facebook
Numerous are Your thoughts for me,
I cannot count them all
but, I know they are tender
ever constant and practical.
The notion that You think of me,
more than all the grains of sand
is so hard for me to fathom
let alone to understand.
Your attention never fails,
as my counselor, You are wise
Your thoughts for me outnumber
all the stars in the skies.
I am always on Your mind,
You take such delight in me
Your thoughts  I cannot measure
for their deeper than the sea.
Your timing is always perfect,
I’m forever under Your care
You watch out for all my needs
and answer my every prayer.
Your thoughts for me are so many,
I hold them precious and dear
no wonder my thoughts towards You
grow more and more each year!
Fear Is Your Enemy ~
Fear Is Your Enemy ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Fear leaves you in the dark,
like a room without light
it will rob you of your peace
like a thief in the night.
Fear will strike you down,
like a thunderbolt
it will fill you with dread
like a lightning clapping volt.
Fear takes away your freedom,
just like a jailer’s key
it’ll scare and frighten you
like the anger of the sea.
Fear steals your joy,
like a runner at first base
it will cause you to go awry
like an astronaut lost in space.
Fear is your spirit’s enemy,
it will make your faith weak
but God will cast it out of you
when perfect love you seek!
Warts and All !
Kiss A Toad used with permission Doorpost Versers on Facebook
I kissed me a prince,
but ~ he turned into a toad
sent me packing . . .
down the lonely road.
So I went looking,
for my true love . . .
thought he’d be here on earth
instead, He came from above.
With all of my warts,
Jesus saw what was inside
my true love found in me
what other’s only denied.
He peered into my heart,
He looked deep into my soul
so I took a leap of faith . . .
and now I’m complete and whole.
If you are out there looking,
When I Consider ~
I Consider used with permision DoorPost Verses on Facebook
God, when I consider,
all that You’ve made
how the sun slowly rises
as the moon begins to fade.
I’m in awe,
of  all the beauty I see
in this amazing universe
You’ve set before me.
When I consider,
the trillion stars in the sky
hanging on the dark backdrop
placed so ever, ever high.
I’m in awe,
of the works of Your hand
in the heavens so far above
from down here where I stand.
When I consider,
the stars, moon and the sun
I know beyond them . . .
is Your Kingdom yet to come.
I’m in awe,
starlit glimpses of eternity
when I’ll be home with You!
Things, things, things . . .
misery and despair.
Things, taking up my time,
running my life too
things that are keeping me
from the “thing” I should do.
Things, cluttering up my mind,
taking over my thoughts
things people give me
things that I have bought.
Things, taking me from God,
wasting instead time with them
things ruining my relationship
idols God would condemn.
Things, things, things,
who needs them anymore
I Will Sleep in Peace ~
I Will Lie Down used with permission from Doorpost Verses on Facebook
I can’t wait until evening,
till the end of my day
when with my Lord and Savior
I can peacefully lay.
For, as I wait to fall asleep,
I envision His love
falling down upon me
like moonbeams above.
I can’t wait for my eyes,
to shut their lids weary
so all of God’s glory
they can picture clearly.
For, as I begin to doze off,
I visualize His light
glowing inside of me
like the stars at night.
I can’t wait until evening,
as I search for Jesus’ face
when I look out at the moon
I slip to sleep full of grace!
The Chain of Pain
Be Free by Marian Trindad free photo
Living in the past,
is so easy to do . . .
thinking about the things
that other’s did to you.
Letting go isn’t simple,
there’s no effort in hanging on
and to forget the images
takes an awful lot of brawn.
So, we live with the despair,
the heartaches and the pain
and the peace, God promises
our misery will only drain.
It’s not until we come,
to a place where we forgive
that we’ll find the harmony
in which God intended us to live.
So, if you are in the shackles,
which bind you to the past
let Jesus release the burden
and you’ll be free at last.
The future holds great promise,
to those who give Him their pain
for only Jesus can heal the hurt
of every painful link on the chain !
Psalm 55:22
King James Version
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Where’s My Heart?
Conversations by Laurie  Cosgrove free photo #4047
Lord, my lips confess Your name,
my mouth utters my love for You
every day I articulate the words
that I know You are due.
With sweet expressions,
I tell other’s about Your grace
confessions of how everyday
I seek to find Your face.
My tongue drips with honey,
when I talk about my devotion
for You are my living God
and I can barely hide my emotion.
The fruit upon my lips,
speak of all You have done for me
but in my heart I must confess . . .
at times ~ it’s’ so far away from Thee!
His Precious Love ~
Lord, in thy loving kindness,
I put my trust in You
for there is not anything
for me ~ you wouldn’t do.
I am taken to new heights,
on Your wings I now soar
together we mount and rise
like waves upon the shore.
Your love for me is precious,
it’s something I do treasure
Your tender-hearted mercies
I cannot count or measure.
I have found my perfect rest,
in the shadow of Your calmness
it’s to You I cling and cleave
on the breeze of peacefulness.
Lord, In thy loving kindness,
I have put my trust in You
and there isn’t anything
for You ~ I wouldn’t do.
This Grace ~
It’s a thing of beauty,
a thing of hope and love
it’s a thing of wonder
this grace ~ from God above.
It’s a thing of strength,
when we are feeling faint
it’s a thing of confidence
it’s our spiritual restraint.
It’s a thing we should seek,
something we must grow
it’s a thing for us to share
with every one we know.
It’s a thing of praise,
a thing to worship and adore
it’s a thing of total sacrifice
a gift we can’t ignore.
This grace covers your past,
your future and your today
Carnal Minds ~
Thoughts by Nick Schmidt free photo #15612
Soft Christians, ever so soft,
in the Bible I read . . .
they are of a carnal mind
in thought and deed.
They don’t make waves,
feathers they won’t ruffle
it’s all about God’s love
and His wrath they muffle.
They walk into church,
call it the narrow way
then the rest of the week
from the truth they stray.
Their path isn’t straight,
they just think it is . . .
but the sober reality
it is so far from His.
They don’t feed upon,
the Word and the law
in fact the carnal man
doesn’t see his own flaw.
They think if they tithe,
give their ten-percent
they will receive gifts
that are heaven-sent.
Worldly and fleshy,
they go with the flow
and the truth in the Bible
they prefer not to know.
So, they edit it out,
make up new meanings
definitions that take from sin
the need for redeeming.
Carnal Christians,
misplaced and lost . . .
all because they’ve become
to sin, yielding and soft!
~~~~~~~~

Romans 8:6-8
King James Version

“For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God.”

What is The Bible ~

What is the Bible ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

The Bible is the breath of God,
profitable for teaching
it’s a reproof and a correction
to use for righteous training.

It’s the Living Word of God,
it makes us competent and able
it equips us for good works
keeping our lives in Him stable.

It is a lamp to our feet,
a light unto our path
when we choose to follow it
it will keep us from God’s wrath.

It’s to be used for mediation,
all our living nights and days
it is the Bread of Life
that shows us our evil ways.

It instructs us on endurance,
encourages us in the faithful race
it persuades us to continue
to seek and find God’s face.

It is living and it active,
it’s as sharp as a two edge sword
it pierces through the heart
so our souls can be restored.

It’s a wonder to the open eye,
out of the law comes salvation
it’s the pure spiritual milk
spilling forth God’s revelation.

It’s to be stored in our hearts,
it will keep us from sin
it’s to be used in our daily battles
so over the enemy we will win.

It will guard our hearts and minds,
it will keep us in perfect peace
and we should always keep  . . .
our Bible’s within close reach.

But, for some it sits on their shelf,
other’s shove it in a drawer
and most just don’t make the time
to read the Bible anymore!

King James Version

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.”

Who’s Running this Roller Coaster?

English: The Kraken roller coaster ride at Sea...

(Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Sometimes it seems . . .
I’m on a roller coaster ride
with all the ups and downs
and twists from side to side.

One day, I’m blissfully joyful,
the next one, I miserably sad
one minute, I’m cheerfully happy
the next one, I’m steaming mad.

One day, the Lord seems close,
the next one, He seems so far away
one minute, I see His light shinning
the next one, it’s hard for the finding.

One day, I feel so very blessed,
the next one, I feel so deeply depressed
one minute, I feel His awesome love
the next one, I feel tight as a glove.

Who’s got control of the switch,
who’s controlling this roller coaster ride?
Lord, I need for You to pull the plug . . .
so that in Your rest ~ I can abide!

The Gift of Grace ~

Grace by Radikai Art free photo #8410

Oh, to know the gift of grace,
not earned by any act or deed
but given to every soul for favor
to fill our deepest want and need.

Oh, to know the gift of grace,
not worthy by any way or means
just filthy rags, covered in scarlet sins
till His blood ~ washed us clean.

Oh, to know the gift of grace,
not deserving to be set free at all
His life became sins only ransom
love’s redemption, for man’s fall.

Oh, to know the gift of grace,
not justified to accept or to receive
Jesus came to give the guilty sinner
the gift of mercy, so they’d believe.

Oh, to know the gift of grace,
where evil no longer rules or reigns
to know His scarred and healing hands
have released sins ~ crippling chains.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 2:7-9
King James Version
“That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace
in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Another . . . Senseless Tragedy!
Note:
A young boy wrote me, and asked me to write a poem
about his life in Chicago.  He explained to me what he
witnessed, saw, and lived . . . this is for all the children
who live through out this world in their daily nightmare.
Our God Saves by Chris Manfre Creationsswap
Another senseless tragedy,
has hit Chicago’s South Side
another young victim’s life
has once more, been denied.
It could’ve been my brother,
my sister or my best friend
and every night I pray . . .
“Dear Lord, when will this end”
I’m only thirteen-years old,
but, I am always on the run
I never know when someone
is gonna point at me a gun.
Most kids who are my age,
don’t expect to live a full life
and getting shot to death
is a part of our daily strife.
Streets in my neighborhood,
aren’t safe for any one . . .
it doesn’t matter your age
or if you’re a daughter or a son.
I don’t know what to do,
but I am praying that you can
“Stop all this gang violence”
so I can grow up to be a man.
Another funeral at the church,
a “Homecoming” some people say
another parent’s grief-filled tears
God will have to wipe away!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Psalm 127:3-5
King James Version

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth. Happy is the man
that hath his quiver full of them:
they shall not be ashamed,
but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”

I am Proud to Be a Christian!

SKY AND RAINBOW BY ALANNA RODGERS FREE PHOTO #6508

I am a Christian . . .
and for this I am proud
I’m going to say what I think
with pride and aloud.

I don’t need to have a month,
for me to wave my banner
all I want to do is be treated
in the same respectful manner.

But, if I were to march,
up and down the streets
and tell everyone about
the Savior they need to meet.

I would be called a bigot,
intolerant and narrow-minded
for the lost of this world
have been by Satan , blind-sided.

They can’t stand to hear,
their life to God is a sin
because darkness has taken over
and it’s embedded deep within.

In this world I’ve become,
a light that they can’t see
for in their hearts
they don’t want my Savior to be.

I am a Christian . . .
my flag too is the rainbow
for it stands for God’s promise
and not mankind’s prideful halo!

For Thou Are With Me ~

For Thou Art With Me ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah

Lord, You’ll never leave me,
this I know is a fact
for You have my front
and You guard my back.

You see all my comings,
and notice wherever I go
Your rod and staff
makes my faith grow.

For, they lead and direct me,
to pastures where I gleam
the truth of Your Spirit
beyond valleys green.

In the middle of my troubles,
there I can find You
in the midst of my worries
You are there too.

Your eyes are ever on me,
Your ears listen to my prayers
I can always trust You
to take from me my cares.

Lord, You’re my future hope,
my brighter eternal day
where for eternity we’ll be
if I let You lead the way!

thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me.”

Sing Your Praises

Every day there is a blessing,
a treasure that’s in disguise
every day there is joyfulness
even when tears sting our eyes.

Every day God brings sunshine,
even when clouds are in the sky
every day there is laughter
even when mixed with a sigh.

Everyday there are calm waters,
even when there’s a stormy sea
every day there is tranquility
even when our fears are all we see.

Every day there’s a new beginning,
even though one comes to an end
every day there’s something good
even when we’re without a friend.

Every day God brings a blessing,
a miracle of trust and new life
everyday there is a fresh song
even when we cry out in our strife.

Every day sing your praises,
even when you’re not feeling sure
every day bless His name
and let Jesus heal and cure!

Jesus is The Perfect Fit ~

perfect fit 1 by Jason Gaines free photo from Creationswap

This is it,
yes, I’ve finally found it
now I know why
Jesus  is the perfect fit.

This is it,
this is all that I desire
and in my soul . . .
true love I did acquire.

This is it,
this is what hope feels like
and in my spirit . . .
faith and trust are alike.

This is it,
this is my belief forever more
and in my mind . . .
this is what I was born for.

This is it,
this is what life is about
and with Jesus as my Lord
what is there to doubt.

This is it,
Jesus is the perfect fit
and I am wondering why
the world doesn’t see it!

As for Me and My House ~

As For Me and My House ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
As for me and my house . . .
I’m inviting Jesus to come to live
and my heart and my soul
to Him I am going to give.

But, first I must make it ready,
clean up the dirty mess
so I’m starting with the sins
I know that I need to confess.

Then I’ll search for the idols,
which keep me away from Him
the ones new and shiny
all those that are old and dim.

I will toss them all out,
replace them with my Bible
and the books of preachers
whom I know are reliable.

I’m making sure I am ready,
so the Lord, I can serve
because me and my house . . .
knows it’s what Jesus deserves!

~~~~~~~~
Joshua 24:15
King James Version
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,
choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served
that were on the other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord.”
My God is So Big ~
Gimpses by Paul Snyder free photo Creationswap
My God is so big . . .
He can conquer anything
He can turn a dry river
into a life-giving stream.
My God is so big . . .
He can carry my heavy load
He can lift from me my burdens
cause them to wither and erode.
My God is so big . . .
He can do the impossible
He can move any mountain
make the unfeasible possible.
My God is so big . . .
He can take away my fear
He can remove all my worries
for my God is always near.
My God is so big . . .
He can turn water into wine
He can bring back a lost soul
who’s fallen from His vine.
My God is so big . . .
He can part the Red Sea
He can heal the lame and sick
make the blindest of eyes to see.
My God is so big . . .
how big is that one of yours?
Mine will forgive you your sin,
if you’d just open to Jesus the door!
I Believe ~
Stop Doubting by Thomas Roberts free photo #17827
Lord, I believe.
You’re the King of Kings
You’re above all other things
so, when I hear others doubt
all I want to do is shout
I believe. . .
Lord, I believe,
You came to save all of man
You are salvation’s only plan
so, when I hear others doubt
all I want to do is shout
I believe. . .
Lord, I believe,
You died for them and me
Your love has set us free
so, when I hear others doubt
all I want to do is shout
I believe. . .
Lord, I believe,
You will bring sovereignty
in You there is certainty
so, when I hear others doubt
all I want to do is shout
I believe. . .
Lord, I believe
You’re coming back one day
You’ll take Your faithful away
so, when I hear others doubt
all I want to do is shout
I believe. . .
Oh, yes I do believe. . .
By His Stripes ?
lamb-of-god free photo
If Jesus abased and humbled Himself,
then why don’t we hold Him in esteem?
If He was obedient even unto the cross,
then why won’t His salvation we redeem?
If He bore His own grief and sorrow,
then why don’t we think He’ll take ours?
If He took upon Himself our punishment
then why don’t we see His scars?
If He was wounded for our transgressions,
then why do we still pursue after sin?
If He was bruised for our iniquities,
then why does immorality still win?
If His chastisement became our peace,
then why do we still have so much conflict?
If by His stripes, we have been healed,
then why do we on others ~ pain inflict?
If He was oppressed and treated unfairly,
then why do we still treat Him this way?
It must be true what the Bible tells us,
all of His sheep . . . have gone astray!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Isaiah 53:5
King James Version

“But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our
peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed.”

we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Where Are You Lord ~

Hope in a Dark World by Chris Vasquez free photo #5638

Lord, where are You,
when are you coming for me?
for in the darkness of this world
Your light I can no longer see.

I don’t understand,
I just don’t get it . . .
and right now my soul
needs from You a lift.

Where are you now,
where are you taking me
there is so much going on
that I don’t want to see.

For my soul is broken,
and it aches . . .
for the unsaved
it truly breaks.

Dark and light,
just do not mix
and only You
have the fix.

I am caught in a world,
that is bitter-sweet
and I am up against
so many I meet.

Lord, You are the only hope
that I cling to
and I so need Your light
to come shining through.

So, I say come Lord Jesus,
do not tarry . . .
for the burden of this world
my heart  can no longer carry!

Harden Not Your Heart ~

The Heartfelt Fight by Boaz Crawford free photo #921

Harden not your heart,
to your spiritual condition
let it not turn cold
by your selfish ambition.

Let it not turn to stone,
like the rebellious one
let it not become distant
by a grumbling tongue.

Harden not your heart,
to the Holy Spirit’s leading
let it not turn cold
by the sins you’re keeping.

Let it not become rigid,
by careless drifting
let it not be stubborn
by the life you’re living.

Harden not your heart,
by disbelief or doubt
let it not turn cold
by shutting the Word out..

Let it not turn you away,
from the hope of eternal peace
let it not turn to ice
let not your faith in God cease !

True Independence ~

American Flag by Matt Gruber free photo Creastionswap

There once was a flag that flew high,
now it’s draped on freedoms grave
it once stood for the love of God
and the home of the faithful and brave.

In the wind, it waved in all its glory,
shedding hope and peace, in God’s light
the stars would sparkle ever so brightly
and gave confidence long into the night.

It sung of a song that we would flourish,
as it twisted and twirled in the wind
it claimed our trust and dependence
in God’s mercy, so our battles we’d win.

Now the flag of our liberty is no more,
for they have ripped ~ God from the seam
and the stars and stripes we have known
no longer stand for the american dream.

There once was a flag that flew high,
and God’s strength was its banners goal
now it flies in a state of true independence
for God is no longer ~ this countries soul!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I pray God will have mercy on our country.
That He will turn us back to Him. I pray the leaders
will not continue in the direction they are leading us
and for all to put their trusts back into God. Amen!
When I Consider . . .
Glory by Radkal Arts free photo #8415
When I consider.
all of the universe . . .
it is with You God
I want to converse.
I climb my mountains.
I walk my stormy sea
but it is with You . . .
that I long to be.
For, You are my maker,
You are my heartbeat
and I long for the day
that we shall meet.
When I look at the sky,
beyond the horizon . . .
I see Your kingdom
and the light of Your Son.
I am drawn,
into eternity . . .
for I know
with You I’ll finally be.
Lord, You are my salvation,
the only hope I cling to
and I cannot wait . . .
till I spend eternity with You.
As I look in the distance,
I see a glimpse of love
that which my heart knows
comes only from above.
Lord, when I’m in heaven
I will fall at Your feet
praising You always . . .
for I will then be complete!
If We the People . . .
AMERICA THE LAND THAT FORGOT FREE PHOTO BY PAULE PATTERSON #3234
If we the people,
of the USA . . .
would humble ourselves
and pray.
Then God would,
forgive us our sin
and bless these states
once again.
If we the people,
were to seek His face
and admit to Him
our sinful disgrace.
Then God would,
heal our land
and united – under Him
we would again stand.
If we the people,
would repledge our trust
and see that His laws
are fair and just.
Then God would,
give us a new start
and restore to Him
our nation’s heart.
If we the people,
of the USA . . .
would only – be humble
and pray!
What Causes Our Feet to Stumble?
What Causes Our Feet To Stumle ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo CreationSwap
What causes our feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Was not Jesus our example,
on how to keep ourselves humble?
Did He not draw a line in the sand,
an expose to all men their sin?
Was He not the One who promised,
salvation would come from His hand?
Did He not still preach the Word,
to all those He came across?
Did He not hold them accountable,
for the truth that they had heard?
Did He not prepare the way,
for the Holy Spirit’s filling?
Did He not tell everyone to fear,
God’s wrath on judgment day?
Did He just give up,
and ask God to save Him from death?
Did He not continue on to drink,
the grace raised in His Father’s  cup?
Did He not face the cross,
with severe pain and suffering?
So then why do we think . . .
we should not undergo any loss?
What causes are feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Didn’t Jesus set for us an example,
on how to stay meek and humble?
~~~~~~~~~~

Philippians 3:8

for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,

If Were To Be Like Jesus ~

To Be Like Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

To be more like Jesus,
we must walk with Him each day
we must take up our personal cross
and follow Him on the narrow way.

It’s an individual thing to decide,
no one can tell you what to do
after the Sunday service is over
it will be only Jesus and you.

As we learn to walk with Him,
we will see the newness in our life
and being just like Jesus . . .
will then become our only strife.

We walk the faith that we have,
the measure of it only we know
but if we’re willing to study His word
in our hearts it’s sure to grow.

There is no assurance,
from His light we will not stray
but if you trust in the Holy Spirit
He’ll keep you from falling  away.

 He will give us divine wisdom,
He’ll lead and guide our way
till He takes us to His Kingdom
where we’ll walk with Him each day!

Ephesians 2:10

created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.”

Even You Too!

Grace by Nathan Furr free photo #12440

He died because of me,
and yes, even you too
He gave us His life
so ours ~ we could get through.

He lived so I would know,
the meaning of free grace
and yes, even you too
can seek and find His face.

There is no other answer,
to our worries and our cares
there is only Jesus who has
the answers to our prayers.

Don’t be fooled by the winds,
that are blowing wayward today
for His free unmerited grace
is still to heaven ~ the only way

His love is endless,
there’s a beginning, but no end
and trust me when I say
in Jesus, there’s no better friend.

When on my deathbed I lay,
and I pray this for you too . . .
I know for a fact His light for us
will come shinning through!
