Being Content!

For I Have Learned used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook

It’s not easy . . .
this learning to be content
but I am willing to concede
and trust one-hundred percent.

Not that I haven’t any needs,
or fears for what I require
I’m just putting my faith in God
and letting Him be my supplier.

I once had all the goodies,
but their worth has faded away
now I am presently living . . .
trusting Jesus day-to-day.

Tomorrow may be different,
my goodies may come back
but, hey what the heck
I’m not at loss for my lack.

It’s not easy . . .
being in this circumstance
but God’s teaching me not to need
the world’s artificial artifacts!

Philippians 4:11
King James Version

“Not that I speak in respect of want:
for I have learned,
in whatsoever state I am,
therewith to be content.”

What’s Your Rock?

Sassirosso by Emanuele Manili used with permission Creationswap
What one will you pick up,
what rock are you holding
which stone will you throw
which one will you be hurling?

What judgment are you clenching,
what innuendo will you toss out
what boulder is in your sling
what lies will you spout?

What punishment will you give,
what gossip will you tell
what criticism is on your lips
at what soul will you yell?

What will be your ruling,
what verdict will you give?
Will your sentence be a living hell . . .
or will you learn to forgive?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 4:32
King James Version
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
When Life Hurts ~
When Life Hurts ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
When life hurts,
and you ache inside
ask God for His peace
til the pain subsides.
For, He understands,
the heart that cries
and will empathize
with your fervent sighs.
When you tell God about,
your dread and  fears
He will send His joy
to wipe away your tears.
For, your every prayer,
goes right into His ear
there is not one
He isn’t willing to hear.
When life hurts,
give Jesus your pain
then pray for His peace
in your heart to come reign!
~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 5:2

King James Version

“Hearken unto
the voice of my cry,

my King, and my God:
for unto thee will I pray.”
