Willing Spirits, Weak Flesh ~

Willing spirits,
weak flesh . . .
too many in sin
are still enmeshed.

Willing hearts,
weak frames . . .
too many playing
with hell’s flames.

Willing minds,
weak beings . . .
too many from sin
are not fleeing.

Willing souls,
weak folks . . .
too many thinking
God’s wrath’s a hoax.

Willing spirits,
flesh oh so weak . .
Holy Spirit’s power
they need to seek!

God cannot be boxed-in,
He can’t be contained
you cannot control Him
His power can’t be restrained.

God cannot be confined,
He can’t be enclosed
you cannot out-wit Him
His will can’t be opposed.

God cannot be hedged-in,
He can’t be obstructed
you cannot thwart Him
His Word can’t be corrupted.

God cannot be restricted,
He can’t be curtailed
you cannot halt Him
His plans can’t be derailed.

Something Out of Nothing ~

God created,
something out of nothing
He brought perfect order
to everything.

Then man came along,
and created chaos
now one day with God
there will be a face off.

God is going to judge,
man for his sin
He’ll wage a war against
the evilness within.

Floodwaters will come,
earthquakes and fire
only those who are saved
won’t be in the crossfire.

Then there will be,
a new glorious rebirth
as God ushers in
a new heaven and earth.

God created,
something out of nothing
and someday to the chaos
perfect peace, Jesus will bring!

Come Judgement Day ~

I’m following after Jesus,
staying on the narrow way
so that I’ll be ready . . .
come Judgment Day.

I’ll stand firm on the fact,
that Jesus died for me
so to be spared His wrath
on the day I bow my knee.

I’ll keep my faith steadfast,
my Savior’s grace I’ll profess
so to be saved from the pit
on the day His name I confess.

I’m going to live for Jesus,
be all He wants me to be
so into the flames of hell . . .
He will not sentence me!
