When the sting of death,
first burned into my soul
I never thought again
I could be made whole.
But God sent to me,
all the grace I needed
as the tide of grief
ebbed and receded.
When the sting of death,
brought its gloomy sorrow
I didn’t think I could ever
face another tomorrow.
But God sent to me,
new rays of hope
filled with His strength
helping me to cope.
When the sting of death,
at first left me reeling
God in His time sent me . . .
inner peace and healing!

for they shall be comforted.”
