Sometimes, when the day is over,
and the shadows turn to night
when I’m tired from all the worry
and there seems no end in sight.
When my problems seem too big,
and the answers seem so few
when the days are just impossible
and the nights too hard to get through.
When I have no strength left in me,
and I can’t go on another mile
when tomorrow holds no promise
and the darkness steals away my smile.
When I am feeling down and out,
and no one else can appease
I go into my prayer garden . . .
and I fall down on my knees.
It is there I meet the Lord,
and I make my heartfelt plea
for some respite and comfort
from the worries surrounding me.
It’s there that I find rest,
where I have a sense of peace
it’s when I am with the Lord
my fears begin to cease.
In my prayer garden,
sometimes, I just want to stay . . .
for while I am there with Jesus
my weariness fades away!

Matthew 6:6
King James Version
“But thou, when thou prayest,
enter into thy closet,
and when thou
hast shut thy door,
pray to thy Father
which is in secret;
and thy Father
which seeth in secret
shall reward thee openly.”

And in the morning
When I rise
I seek Him once again
In joy or tear
He’s always waiting
At the prayer garden
Delighting to spend time with me
He loves me way too dear 🙂
He is good indeed. I wish I have a literal garden for prayer. Do you have one? I usually pray in my room 😀

Amen! Are those your words? They are beautiful and fit so well within my thoughts. I do have a garden and I do a lot of praying while I am out in it . . . but most of my praying is done in my room too. ~ Blessings ~
