More, More of Your Grace ~

Lord, grant me the grace,
to face yet another day
though my body withers
let not my spirit fade away.

Keep my faith strong,
be to my heart ever near
show me Your great mercy
bring my soul eternal cheer.

Lord, give me endurance,
I want to finish the good race
but Lord, I cannot do it . . .
without more, more of Your grace.

This illness ravishes my body,
together it’s our cross to bear
so please impart unto me
extra grace for me to wear.

Lord, help me to be strong,
as we go through this valley
then in Your grace and mercy
my spirit can peacefully rally!

Sometimes!

Today, for some,
and yes . . . including me
the way of the Lord
is sometimes hard to see.

Although we endeavor,
to follow His perfect will
the road ahead of us
is sometimes all up hill.

We try not to doubt,
or let our worries in
but for all our efforts
they sometimes win.

And as we go about,
seeking the righteous way
we sometimes forget to ask
for direction when we pray.

But, if any of you,
are sometimes like me
I know without a doubt
you’ll concur and agree.

For we are His faithful ones,
we know we must press on
until our fears and worries
are removed and gone.

And then we will acquire,
our promised eagle wings
for we know that is what . . .
our hilltop experience brings!
