On my perch, I sit and wait,
for my call to fly . . .
and while I wait, I contemplate
where the wind shall carry me.
Should I meet an angry sea,
I would fly above the storm
find my way into God’s arms
where I’d be safe and warm.
If the wind were to call me,
to the highest mountaintop
my hope in my Savior
will help me reach the top.
And if my call to fly takes me,
into the lowest valley floor
I know my Lord would help me
to spread my wings and soar.
I sit upon my perch,
a sparrow with trusting wings
believing I will climb above
whatever storm God brings!

King James Version
“And not only so,
but we glory in tribulations also:
knowing that tribulation
worketh patience;
And patience, experience;
and experience, hope:”
