A Peaceful Quiet ~

A feeling of peaceful quiet,
a restfulness deep inside
the presence of such calm
is when God is at my side.

Around me there’s a storm,
resembling a roaring sea
yet, that feeling of stillness
still flourishes inside me.

A feeling of peaceful quiet,
a serenity that flows about
the presence of His holiness
I can feel it surge throughout.

While the sea may be stormy,
as it rages through my mind
my heart is calmly reassured
His strength is mine to find.

A feeling of peaceful quiet,
a calmness that far exceeds
all my wishes and desires . . .
for, God surpasses all my needs!

A Tranquility To Find~

There is a tranquility,
a calm to be found
when your every care
onto Jesus you unbound.

Then His peace will bind,
your heart and mind
and all your anxiety
will begin to unwind.

There is a tranquility,
a peace to receive
when your every worry
onto Jesus you relieve.

Then His calm will take,
control of your life
as you feel the easing
of your daily strife.

There is a tranquility,
a peace to discover
one that with Jesus . . .
will last now and forever!

the peace that surpasses . . .
all the worries that we know.

Praying for God’s Peace ~

Every day to God,
I pray for His peace
I ask that my faith
in Him to increase.

I pray for renewal,
in spirit and in mind
I ask that His will
will be easy to find.

Every day to God,
I pray for directions
I ask Him to give me
Spirit filled instructions.

I give Him my burden,
my worry and my care
I let Him know they are
too much for me to bear.

Every day to God,
His peace I pray for
and He never fails . . .
to always give me more!

The Peace of God ~

Everyday becomes a struggle,
when from God’s Word we stray
every hour is more miserable
when we don’t believe and pray.

Everything looks impossible,
when His hope is not there
every problem looks bleaker
when we don’t trust in His care.

Every worry seems unbearable,
when His mercy we don’t claim
every concern is more insufferable
when we don’t call upon His name.

Every mountain seems higher,
when we climb it all alone
every valley is a little deeper
when we don’t seek His throne.

Everyone who goes about,
seeking to do their own will
will never know the peace
that only God can instill!
