Wise Eyes ~

Wise eyes,
they look not
at things . . .
that are fraught.

Fraught with sin,
riddled with evil
for wise eyes know . . .
the works of the devil.

Wise eyes,
they look away
at things . . .
that cause decay.

Decay of hearts,
corruption of minds
for wise eyes know . . .
how satan blinds.

Wise eyes,
are full of light . . .
that is why darkness
they can fight!

Jesus Is The Only One ~

Jesus Your light is,
the only One that can
break through the stone
in the heart of man.

For it can shatter,
the cold and icy frost
and bring the ungodly
to the foot of the cross.

Jesus Your light bursts,
the darkness right apart
taking down the barriers
inside of man’s heart.

For it can obliterate,
the evil and corruption
saving the heart of man
from eternal destruction.

Jesus You alone are . . .

Afternoon Ponderings~12.18.18~

The Battle ~

Dark and light,
battle within
we fight so hard
to die to sin.

Arrows fall,
hot with fire
only God’s Word
douses the desire.

The tempter lies,
sound so sweet
without the truth
you can feel the heat.

The lion roars,
before he strikes
he’ll do anything
that he so likes.

Satan wants us,
to burn in hell
and so our souls
he’ll try to fell.

Dark and light,
battle within
but, we have Jesus
and we will win!
