Jesus didn’t say to go in fear,
or to fret throughout our day
He didn’t say to sit and worry
or to follow the anxious way.
He didn’t say to pursue after,
what this world has to offer
He didn’t say to be conformed
or to be a faith scoffer.
He didn’t say He’d leave us,
or that we’d be all alone
He didn’t say He didn’t care
or be left ever on our own.
He didn’t say to be lustful,
or to have eyes like the greedy
He didn’t say we would lack
be deprived, poor, or needy.
But, satan loves to skew,
and turn Jesus’ words around . . .
so we must hold on to the truth
not the lies, he uses to confound!
~~~~~~~~~
When he speaketh a lie,
he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar,
and the father of it.”
