If we’re to have,
spiritual grit . . .
we must keep
our faith muscle fit.
God’s Word we must engage,
so trust can develop
then joy, peace and hope
our lives will envelop.
If we’re to be,
spiritually strong . . .
we’ll need to stop doing
what we know is wrong.
We’ll need to workout,
the sin that is hidden
and to all of our idols
we must say good-ridden.
The muscle of our faith,
we all need to exercise
for it is the very heart . . .
of our eternal prize!
~~~~~~~
“For bodily exercise profiteth little:
but godliness is profitable unto
all things, having promise of the
life that now is, and of that which
is to come.”
