Lord, thank You for being,
my calm before the storm
for bringing me peace . . .
before it starts to form.
For, I never know,
when one I’ll go through
and when I do . . .
I want it to be with You.
Lord, thank You for going,
into the storm with me
there’s no one else
with whom I’d rather be.
For, only You can still,
my fears that fall and crest
and provide for me
an anchor on which to rest.
Lord, thank You for being,
my calm after the storm
for bringing me back to . . .
a place safe and warm!
~~~~~~~~
“And they came to him, and awoke him,
saying, Master, master, we perish.
Then he arose, and rebuked the wind
and the raging of the water:
and they ceased, and there was a calm”
