Oh Lord, Your Word,
to me is a fragrant garden
for in it there is life . . .
and the sweet smell of pardon.
Let me find my delight,
in the aroma of Your favor
to its blood-sweetened nectar
may my heart forever savor.
Oh Lord, Your Word,
opens up like a scented bloom
its beauty catches my breath
like a bride meeting her groom.
Let me find such a love.
in the bouquet of Your grace
to its saving aroma
may my heart always embrace.
O Lord, Your Word,
like incense it takes over my senses
for the sweet scent of a dying Savior
has pardoned all of my offenses!
~~~~~~
“How sweet are thy words
unto my taste!
yea, sweeter than
honey to my mouth!”
