It’s not time ~ that heals,
it’s not about a new day
it’s about God’s mercy . . .
taking our suffering away.
It’s not about a brighter day,
of another tomorrow . . .
it’s about God understanding
the true depth of our sorrow.
It’s not time ~ that we need,
it’s not about another year
it’s about God collecting . . .
in His bottle our every tear.
It’s not about a certain period,
of suffering and grief
it’s about God’s grace. . . .
bringing broken hearts relief.
It’s not time ~ that will mend,
the wounds of our despair
it’s believing Jesus will heal
all the pain, that we bear!
~~~~~~~~~
“But Jesus turned him about,
and when he saw her,
he said, Daughter,
be of good comfort;
thy faith hath made
thee whole.
And the woman was made
whole from that hour.”
I really like your Time Does Not Heal post. I would like permission to use it in a Sermon I’m preparing on Psalm 56.
Please feel free to use it. God has made this really clear to me every since I lost my son Glenn last year. Many well meaning people pointed me in other directions for healing, but I found mine in the Lord. He has eased my pain and has given me incredible peace. I have found great comfort in knowing my tears are being collected in His bottle! ~. Blessings ~
I’m so sorry for your loss. I have found that assurance over and over. Thanks for permission. I hope to use your writing as a closing to a sermon on the topic of God’s grace in our sorrows and depressions and griefs. Thanks again!
Indeed it is . . . only God can heal the pain no one, nothing else can or will!
