God forgives me,
and you, I do too
though I’m not happy
with the things, you do.
But, by His grace,
and mercies ever tender
a forgiving heart to you
I am willing to render.
God forgives me,
I am not without sin
daily over kindness
there’s a battle, to win.
But, in His strength,
I fight off the attack
turning to Jesus for
the meekness, I lack.
God forgives you,
for what you’ve done
I forgive you too . . .
because of His Son!

if any man have a quarrel against any:
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

This speaks to the issue of true Godly forgiveness. He doesn’t like all that He sees, but He is willing to forgive in love, because God IS love. And we must do the same, for we emulate our Lord.
Ask for forgiveness and turn from sin, He is faithful to dismiss the stains!

Forgiveness of others is the only way to understand His wonderful grace, and tender mercies toward us. I try to pratice grace and mercy everyday towards others, even when I don’t feel like it! ~ Blessings ~

That is a good practice, Deborah. No, we may not feel like forgiving, but that is just part of being human. We can always work harder to train that part of our emotional thinking towards the Godly view, but it will always be an issue to improve upon I think!
Good comments, and thank you for your support! It is much appreciated!

Thank you Deborah for your Loving heart attitude about forgiveness, it is very important and so is repentance, God forgives us but we have to repent to receive it as we can see in the Scripture below but we don’t hold onto bitterness and resentment or seek revenge if they don’t although we still make people accountable for the wrong they have done or they will continue doing it and yes some will still continue even after they say sorry until they come to their senses but we still need to be prepared to forgive as God does with us until we are perfected in Love.
Luke 17:3-5 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Yes, forgiveness is one of the keys of finding that “surpasses” all of our understanding. It opens the door for it to flood into our hearts and minds. ~ Blessings ~
