Unanswered prayers,
where do they go?
The answer to this,
everyone wants to know.
Do they aimlessly travel,
through time and space?
Do they fail to reach heaven,
and met up with God’s grace?
Unanswered prayers,
so many are made
and so often our faith
begins to dim and fade.
But, God has His reasons,
for not fulfilling our prayers
and it has nothing to do with
whether or not He still cares.
Unanswered prayers,
God has heard each one
and sometimes they go unfulfilled
when we don’t trust in His Son.
Sometimes they go by the wayside,
because of the bitterness we hold
and the root of unforgiveness
has made our hearts grow cold.
Sometimes it’s unconfessed sin,
that stands in the way
sometimes it’s the motives
we use when we pray.
Sometimes it’s our faith,
and our wavering doubt
sometimes it’s when we shut
God’s authority out.
But most of the time,
it’s because we’re too impulsive
and things have to be right
for God is never compulsive.
Unanswered prayers,
God has a good reason
and His answers will come
in their due season!

John 15:7
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in
you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall
be done for you.”
1 John 3:22
“And whatever we ask we receive from Him,
because we keep His commandments and do
those things that are pleasing in His sight.”
1 Peter 3:12
“For the eyes of the LORD are on the
righteous, And His ears are open to their
prayers; But the face of the LORD is against
those who do evil.”
James 4:3
“You ask and do not receive, because you
ask amiss, that you may spend it on your
pleasures.”

Thanks for encouraging us about unanswered prayers! I read a devotion the other day that said God not answering our prayers is an answer in itself. God bless you!

Yes, not answering them is an answer in itself and sometimes we forget that . . . I told someone the other day that God was not the fairy godfather . . . there isn’t a magic wand in His hand to grant our every wish. I think I’ll do a poem on this very subject!! ~ Blessings, my friend ~

The hacker got into my email and so I lost a lot of stuff in my files. I am trying to recover them but Microsoft isn’t very helpful so I changed over to Google. I am not sure what all has been compromised so I am changing all my accounts and passwords. While this was all happening I was babysitting my grandsons so I haven’t had a lot of solid time to work on things. Yesterday I cleaned up after the tornadoes left and today I will be putting in some serious time fixing things up and getting to my comments and making some of my own. Well, that was probably more than you needed to know 🙂 ~ Blessings ~

Thank you Stephanie, I am so glad that you have seen my faith grow as it should. Everyday there are new experiences, new opportunities to grow your faith. Jesus said to be perfect like your Father in heaven and the only way I know to become perfect its to take bolder steps in faith. ~ Blessings to you ~
