If we are in Jesus,
to believe and trust
faith in ourselves
we’ll need to adjust.
For when we’re on Him,
completely reliant
then to our own means
we’ll be less dependent.
If we are in Jesus,
to completely obey
then our self-interests
we’ll need to put away.
For to take up the cross,
we must ourselves deny
then to our old ways
we’ll no longer comply.
If we are in Jesus,
to trust and to believe
then through His Spirit . . .
the new man we’ll receive!
~~~~~~
Then said Jesus unto his
disciples, If any man will
come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross,
and follow me.
Yes, we must make that our daily goal! Praying for your ministry for the week ahead Pastor Jim. May the Good Lord continue to bless and use you. May His strength be felt and His power be seen by all you minister. May more come to love the Lord with all their hearts and minds as you share with them your own love and faith in our Savior 🙏
You are so welcome Pastor Jim. It has been a crazy week here and I should have asked you for pray. My husband took a nasty fall last Saturday and broke 5 ribs. I have been playing nurse and making sure he does not develop pneumonia. The hand of God has been on me and especially my back as it has not hurt or given out on me the whole time. In fact it feels like it has more strength than ever. I know it is Jesus who is giving it to me!
Thank you Pastor Jim for your prayers. 🙏 My prayer for you this week is for the Lord to continue to use you for His glory. That you be filled with His power and strength and that the words you use be anointed by the Holy Spirit so that they may encourage those in their walk of faith and convict those who need to get back on to the straight and narrow. In Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen! 🙏
