If we train our children,
God, to always fear
then they will sense
His Spirit close and near.
If we raise our children,
to have Godly restraint
then with this world
they’ll not want to acquaint.
If we educate our children,
God, to always love
then they will lay
their treasures above.
If we teach our children,
to follow God’s plans
then they will know
their times are in His hands.
If we instruct our children,
to follow God’s ways
then His laws they’ll obey
for the rest of their days.
If we train our children,
right from the start
then from His ways . . .
they will not depart!
~~~~~~~~
Train up a child
in the way he should go:
and when he is old,
he will not depart from it.
There is so much truth in this verse . . . sadly it is not one used by those in the world!
Amen! I think this simply practice has been lost along the generations. People are not TRAINING their kids they are trying to befriend them instead. Keep posting these inspiring post Ms. Deborah!
I so agree with you Natalia the time for training them in the ways of God is when they are young and then when they get older it the time to be their friend! ~ Have a blessed day with Jesus ~
