If we were to listen,
and to really hear . . .
more often than not
we’d give others our ear.
We would let them say,
all they needed too
before we gave them
our own pointed view.
If we were slower,
with our observations
with others we’d have
much better relations.
We would think about,
what they have said
discern for ourselves
if they’re spirit lead.
If we’re to hold back,
our bursts of anger . . .
our tongues we’d need
in this verse to anchor!
