I once thought,
I could do it alone
but, then I invited Jesus
to come into my home.
Now He resides,
inside of these walls
He’s always around
when His name I call.
His very presence,
gives me such peace
for, on Him my worries
I am free to release.
He brings me comfort,
just knowing He’s here
He fills my heart and soul
with joy and good cheer.
I once thought,
I’d be left on my own
but since I found Jesus
I am never alone!

Many of you know that recently my father passed out of this world. I have been trying to put up a video that was shown at his funeral celebration. The video includes family pictures throughout the years. I have been unable to accomplish this due to either lack of technical skill or a lock on the DVD I’m trying to load. No matter. My point is that this poem from Deborah Ann explains why I have been given a peace that passes all understanding during this time. I will see my father again and will get to spend as much time as I like with him.

Chris I am so sad for your loss . . . but happy for your father 🙂 He is with Jesus and with that thought God’s peace flows right into our hearts. So until such time you see him again may you continue to be filled with God’s amazing peace. Oh, yes thank you for blessing me with a reblog to my post:) ~ To God be the Glory ~

You’re welcome and thank you for continuing to write such encouraging posts. Also, thank you for your kind words. I have re-blogged your posts more than any other blog for good reasons: you are scriptural, encouraging, and your blog is a reflection of a Christian life. I felt like this poem was written for me at this time and you had no idea that my father had passed on. Others probably though the same
May God continue to give you the words to bless all of us who follow you. 🙂

I love it when God uses something He gives me to bless someone else at just the right time . . . proving “His perfect timing” is something we can count on in our lives. With my own sons death just a few days ago I get into the mode of writing about my experience and how God gave me that same peace you have . . . who can understand it . . . not I, as I should really be filled with anger, bitterness and yes even hate at what happened to him! I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior who has guarded my heart and mind! ~ Be blessed and stay peaceful my friend ~

I am a bit stunned. You had a son die just a few days ago? How did that happen, Deborah Ann. I can’t remember all of our discussions from the past, but this is real news to me. As you have stated, “His perfect timing” is something dependable. If you don’t mind, if you don’t feel comfortable sharing a bit more of the details about your son, would you mind emailing me? If not, I would completely understand.
I will pray that the Lord continues to guard your heart and mind always.
I wish God’s blessings for you and your family at this time and I am sorry for your temporary loss.

I just sent an email to you Chris. My son died three years ago on May 17th. It should explain my comment about his tragic death and why it was so.
I like that “temporary loss” 🙂
