Sometimes with myself,
I have a thoughtful talk
to see if I am truly . . .
walking the faithful walk.
In my self-examination,
I can see a lot of flaws
causing me to take in
a long meditative pause.
As I look into my heart,
I can see where my pride
continues to mess with . . .
the hope in my stride.
A deeper search reveals,
the steps I need to make
so that my faith to others
doesn’t appear to be fake.
Sometimes with myself,
I reexamine my faithful walk
to see if Jesus lives in me . . .
or if I’m just full of a lot of talk!
~~~~~~~~
See then that ye walk
circumspectly,
not as fools, but as wise,
Examine yourselves,
whether ye be in the faith;
prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves,
how that Jesus Christ is in you,
except ye be reprobates?
