Keep It Simple Saints,
don’t get bogged down
in all the rhetoric
that keeps going around.
Keep It Simple Saints,
don’t listen to the heresy
just look into your Bible
and do what it has to say.
Keep It Simple Saints,
childlike faith is all you need
trust in your First Love
and let the Holy Spirit lead.
Keep It Simple Saints,
don’t get caught in the lies
discern for yourself the truth
and then only those apply.
Keep It Simple Saints,
some make salvation hard
and their misguided opinions
you will need to disregard.
Keep It Simple Saints,
it’s so easy to get tied down
by all the Scripture arguments
that for centuries . . .
have been going around!
~~~~~~~~~~
“But there were false prophets
also among the people,
even as there shall be
false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring
in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord
that bought them,
and bring upon themselves
swift destruction.
And many shall follow
their pernicious ways;
by reason of whom the
way of truth shall be
evil spoken of.”
I love how its “saints” instead of something else! Good poem, good call to hold fast to the simple but profound faith!
