Hard Pressed ~

We’re all hard pressed,
from time to time
we all feel baffled
when mountains we climb.

We’re all stressed out,
from the daily wear
we all feel troubled
by our ongoing care.

We’re all needy,
about so many things
we’re all so weary
by the storms life brings.

We’re all down cast,
for different reasons
we’re all scrambling
through life’s seasons.

But, we not need be,
in a state of despair
for Jesus on the cross
our burdens did bear!

~~~~~~~
2 Corinthians 4:8-10
We are troubled on every side,
yet not distressed;
we are perplexed,
but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken;
cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our body.”
Fused ~
Trust with All Your Hear used with permission DoorPost Verses
I’ve not always understood,
the path of pain God took me on
but, I am so very grateful
for it led me straight to His Son.
For, when my heart was troubled,
and my mind was confused
I learn to lean on my Savior
and now the two of us are fused.
When my life delivered me,
so many worldly cares . . .
I found I could release them
onto Jesus with my prayers.
Now the faith I have in my Lord,
cannot ever be shaken
for, He has proven to me . . .
He’d never leave me forsaken!
Proverbs 3:5-6
King James Version
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.”
Who You Gonna Call?
phone-call-standing used with permission
I got me a direct connection,
don’t need to call nine-one-one
for I have a straight line . . .
to the Three-in-One.
When my heart is troubled,
Jesus promises to be there
to answer my cry for help
so my burdens He can bear.
When I’m feeling anxious,
I have nothing to fear
for the Holy Spirit
is always close and near.
When I’m all alone,
I call upon God’s grace
He always has an answer
for the loneliness I face.
I don’t need a cell phone,
don’t need to text or tweet
I just call upon my Lord
lay my burdens at His feet!
1 Kings 18:24
King James Version
“And call ye on the name of your gods,
and I will call on the name of the Lord:”
Just Trust ~
Just Trust ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
When we are in the dark,
Jesus sends His light
when we are in a battle
He helps us to fight.
When we are weak,
Jesus sends us assurance
when we are tired
He gives us endurance.
When we are alone,
Jesus draws us near
when we are frightened
He takes away our fear.
When we are worried,
Jesus makes us still
when we are unsure
He shows us His will.
When we are struggling,
Jesus gives us power
when we need help
He’s there every hour.
When we are loved,
as much as He loves us
it’s so very easy . . .
in Jesus to just trust!
Psalm 56:3
King James Version
“What time I am afraid,
I will trust in thee.”
The Door ~
old door by Simeon Hughes free phtot 2843
When you are troubled,
tired and feeling blue
remember there’s someone
who truly cares for you.
Jesus, is that someone,
He’s there to lend an ear
so there’s really no reason
to worry, doubt, or fear.
He’s waiting at the door,
waiting for your knock
the door is always open
you’ll never find it locked.
Once the door is open,
and you take a step in
you’ll see His main purpose
is to save you from sin.
As you let go of yourself,
and you start to confess
you’ll see that your worries
will become less and less.
Life will be a joy,
if this is what you’ll do . . .
cast all your cares upon Him
for He cares for you!
King James Version
“Casting all your care upon Him,
for He cares for you.”
Just Sit!
Burning Both Ends  by Mark Robinson free photo #3964
Lord, some days, I’m just too busy,
with everything that I must do
and I don’t have much time
to spend alone with you.
I’ve got a list of to-do’s,
that is at least a mile long
I work my finger to the bones
so my time with You ~ I prolong.
Lord, I get so distracted,
with all the noises in my head
voices telling me ~ before You
they must always, be put ahead.
They yell and scream at me,
they order me what  to do
leaving me no quiet time . . .
to spend with only You.
Lord,  I’m so exhausted,
at the end of my busy day
I find it hard to concentrate
when I go to bed and pray.
My mind really isn’t in it,
I know that this is wrong
but, I’m still working on that list
and now its a million miles long.
Lord, teach me what’s important,
and what I need to omit . . .
for I just want to be with You
and would be delighted to ~ just sit!
Luke 10:40-42
King James Version
“But Martha was cumbered about much serving,
and came to him, and said, Lord,
dost thou not care that my sister
hath left me to serve alone?
bid her therefore that she help me.
And Jesus answered and said unto her,
Martha, Martha, thou art careful
and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful:
and Mary hath chosen that good part,
which shall not be taken away from her.”
