Soft Christians, ever so soft,
in the Bible I read . . .
they are of a carnal mind
in thought and deed.
They don’t make waves,
feathers they won’t ruffle
it’s all about God’s love
and His wrath they muffle.
They walk into church,
call it the narrow way
then the rest of the week
from the truth they stray.
Their path isn’t straight,
they just think it is . . .
but the sober reality
it is so far from His.
They don’t feed upon,
the Word and the law
in fact the carnal man
doesn’t see his own flaw.
They think if they tithe,
give their ten-percent
they will receive gifts
that are heaven-sent.
Worldly and fleshy,
they go with the flow
and the truth in the Bible
they prefer not to know.
So, they edit it out,
make up new meanings
definitions that take from sin
the need for redeeming.
Carnal Christians,
misplaced and lost . . .
all because they’ve become
to sin, yielding and soft!

but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God.”
