Do not lose heart,
do not go astray
from the Good Shepherd
be not lead away.
Do not give up,
do not give in
do not let temptation
ever, ever win.
Do not wander,
do not roam around
do not lose the faith
that you have found.
Do not turn,
do not separate
do not get distracted
from the narrow gate.
Do not leave,
do not go your own way
do not let sin tempt you
from God to ever sway!
~~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 53:6
“All we like sheep
have gone astray;
we have turned
every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath laid on him
the iniquity of us all.”
Is that You Lord,
is that You calling out to me
is that Your light Lord
that I’m beginning to see?
Is that Your voice,
I’m hearing in the shadows
is that Your staff
leading me to green meadows?
Is that You Lord,
is that You giving me direction
is that Your rod
providing me with protection?
Is that Your peace,
that I’m feeling all around
is that Your love
making my heart bound?
Is that You Lord,
is that my Shepherd’s voice I hear?
if so then Lord . . .
I faithfully give to You my ear!
Put the sheep out to pasture,
muzzle their mouths until mute
slaughter the faithful in the flock
if the world, they should dispute.
Build walls that will separate,
the regime from the throne
just as in the days of Caesar
in the ungodly city of Rome.
Tear down commandments,
the ten Godliest of all rules
make happy the unbelievers
who think Christians are but fools.
Take away prayers in our schools,
the children don’t need to hear
about a God they can trust . . .
in their foremost, growing years.
Silence of the Lamb of God,
the blood of grace be still . . .
for this is not of the republic
nor of the people’s will.
Revelation 5:12
King James Version
“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb
that was slain to receive power,
and riches, and wisdom, and strength,
and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
Lord, the day is now over,
the night is drawing new
I need to get some rest
so my soul You can renew.
I am thankful just to know,
that You never doze or sleep
for, no matter what the hour
You still tend to Your sheep.
When I am up and stirring,
You lead me on Your way
when in bed and covered
You are planning my next day.
Lord, my mind and my soul,
are constantly at peace . . .
for, no matter what the hour
Your love will never cease!
He is my Shepherd,
I am His lamb . . .
He loves me
just as I am.
I will follow Him,
wherever He goes
for I am confident
the way He knows.
I’ll never leave Him,
beside Him I will stay
from Him I’ll never
wander or stray.
I’ll remain by Him,
He’ll be at my side
I’ll always trust Him
to lead and to guide.
Jesus is my Shepherd,
His voice I do hear . . .
as long as I follow Him
I’ll have nothing to fear!
God sent me your friendship,
for He knew that I would need
someone just like you . . .
who’s willing to guide and lead.
You’ve shown me His grace,
by being loving and kind
a friendship such as ours
is a very precious find.
When we are not together,
my thoughts turn to you
and I thank the dear Lord
for all the things you do.
We laugh and we pray,
we giggle and we weep
we’ve found that the two of us
make up a flock of His sheep.
Friendships like the one we have,
now-a-days are so very rare
and the reason we’re so close
is because Jesus we can share.
So thank you my sweet friend,
for being there for me . . .
you have opened up my heart
to what true friendship outta be!
so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend
by hearty counsel.”
Liars, all liars
wolves in sheep skin
taking the Word of God
putting on it their own spin.
Twisting and slanting,
the Word until it fits
not caring what story
that it flips or knits.
Liars, all liars,
sin to them hasn’t a yoke
shunning the Gospel truth
turning the cross into a joke.
Filling up the pews,
counting all the money
lies on their greedy lips
taste as sweet as honey.
Liars, all liars
fruits that are rotting
stinking to high heaven
liars, who need stopping!
which come to you
in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are
ravening wolves.”
