God Fearing Praise ~

God-fearing praise,
releases in our life
wisdom to overcome
the world and it’s strife.

It frees us to be wise,
prudent and informed
so to the world ways
will not be conformed.

God-fearing praise,
gives a rightful place
to the redeeming value
of His mercy and grace.

It frees us to surrender,
our life to God each day
so on the righteous path
we will continue to stay.

God-fearing praise,
helps us to be . . .
from self-centeredness
finally set free!

Better is little with the fear
of the Lord than great
treasure and trouble therewith.

A Life Willing ~

Lord give me a life,
full of only You
with a faith
through Your view.

Let the Holy Spirit,
do all the leading
so I may be to You
faithfully pleasing.

Lord give me a heart,
that is always willing
to be compassionate
merciful and giving.

Let me not live a life,
stubbornly self-centered
but one that is to You
steadfastly surrendered.

Lord, give me a life,
eager to do Your will
a heart empty of me
so Your love it can fill!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 25:21
“His lord said unto him, Well done,
thou good and faithful servant:
thou hast been faithful over a
few things, I will make thee
ruler over many things: enter
thou into the joy of thy lord.”
A Godly Intervention ~
Sometimes God,
has to do some afflicting
so our stubborn hearts
He can begin softening.
For, He wants to remove,
the hardness deep inside
so there will be the room
for Him to fully abide.
Sometimes God,
brings about suffering
so our prideful minds
He can start uncovering.
For, He wants to rid us,
of our self-centeredness
so we’ll have self-restraint
filled with temperateness.
Sometimes God,
has to get our attention
so with our stubborn hearts
He calls for intervention!
Change of Heart ~
change_your_heart_CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
God can take the stony-heart,
the self-centered and defiant
change it into something . . .
that is on Him, truly reliant.
He can cut out the aloofness,
of a heart set in its own way
sever the ties it has to the world
give it no more reason to stray.
He can smooth out the roughness,
in a heart made of stone
fill it with longing for all things
that come from His throne.
He can take that cold and hard,
heart beating inside of you . . .
turn it into one full of passion
give it a purpose, to all you do.
A heart of flesh God will give you,
one that lives and breathes
in you a new spirit He will put
where faith and truth breeds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ezekiel 36:26
King James Version

“A new heart
also will I give you,

and a new spirit
will I put within you:

and I will take away
the stony heart
out of your flesh,

and I will give you
an heart of flesh.”

The Beam of Pride ~

The Beam of Pride ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

One day in the mirror,
I was shocked at what I saw
I had not seen it before
but now I saw the flaw.

How long it had been there,
I really did not know . . .
I was really surprised
it took this long to show.

Now that I’m getting older,
my eyesight isn’t very good
but it was looking at me
right there where I stood.

It wasn’t a pretty sight,
in other’s I’ve noticed it
but in my own eye . . .
I didn’t think it would fit.

One day in the mirror,
I saw something broad and wide
and on it was written . . .
“this is beam of you own pride!”

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 7:3-5
King James Version
“And why beholdest thou
the mote that is in thy brother’s eye,
but considerest not the beam
that is in thine own eye?”
Marc Minter
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
