My soul waits,
in hope I lookout
to God’s Word
I remain devout.
I trust and believe,
if He is to tarry
the banner of hope
I’ll continue to carry.
My soul waits,
it stands ready
my faith in Jesus
remains steady.
I keep my eyes open,
my ears itch to hear
the trump telling me
Jesus is at last here.
My souls waits,
in hope I hold on
for my trust remains . . .
in God and His Son!
~~~~~~
I wait for the Lord,
my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord
more than they that watch
for the morning: I say, more
than they that watch for the
morning.
