for I’m always with you

If I Only Had Wings ~

Oh, if I had wings,
I’d fly off without delay
and from my all troubles
I would get far, far away.

I’d glide above the storm,
sail on the howling wind
oh, if I only had wings . . .
I’d fly up to be with Him.

Oh, if I had wings,
I’d escape all I fear
and sense true peace
as to Jesus I drew near.

I’d soar just like a dove,
find my true resting place
oh, if I only had wings . . .
I’d fly on the breeze of grace.

I’d fly right up to Your throne
where You would welcome me
into my eternal home!

In Hopeless Times ~

In hopeless times,
put your faith in God
for your trust in Him
He will applaud.

For desperate times,
requires His strength
to go the distance
no matter its length.

In hopeless times,
seek God’s help and aid
keep your faith intact
so not to be dismayed.

For bleak times,
require His grace
to go the distance
no matter the race.

In hopeless times,
turn to your Father
to Him you’ll not be
a pest or bother.

For troubling times,
will be more peaceful
when you let God know
in Him you’re needful.

In hopeless times,
let prayer surround you
then put your faith in God
and trust what He will do!

My First Love ~

Under the arbor of my soul,
with my First Love, I sit and rest
the fragrance of His grace
reminds me of how much I’m blessed.

On the trellis of my mind,
He supports my every limb
He reinforces His love for me
so I may lean evermore on Him.

Beneath the lattice of my heart,
there lies an undying devotion
and the mercy He has for me
consumes me with raw emotion.

He is the framework of my faith,
my life in Jesus is forever entwined
and the love I found under the arbor
is of His plan and by His design!

I’ve Been Hacked!

I’ve been hacked,
my computer has been attacked
and I’m pulling our my hairs
with the when’s, how’s and where’s.

I’ve been compromised,
my password has been modified
and I’m going crossed eyed
now that my access has been denied.

I’ve been taken down,
I’m not much fun to have around
and I’m doing all I can not to cry
while I figure out the who and why.

I know the devil is behind this,
he’d have my poetry go into the abyss
and he hates what I have to say
for I speak of the truth and the way.

I’ve been hacked,
my computer has been attacked
but I know the Lord has His reason
and I will be back in due season!

Every Good and Perfect Gift ~

Every good and perfect gift,
is given out of love . . .
creation, salvation, election
comes from God above.

He rewards the faithful,
with the Bread of Life
Jesus, Savior, Friend
the end to all man’s strife.

God gives without condition,
to all those who believe
help, comfort, eternal joy
when Jesus they receive.

He grants to every solider,
a place of perfect rest
pastures green, eagle wings
to see how much they’re blessed.

Every good and perfect gift,
comes like manna from above
mercy, grace, forgiveness
and for all ~ His eternal love!

My Hope ~

My hope doesn’t disappoint,
it never lets me down
my hope I can count on
I know it’s always around.

My hope is full of stillness,
it brings calmness and peace
my hope is everlasting
for it will never cease.

My hope is perpetual,
forever it goes on
my hope is never-ending
no way will it be gone.

My hope is in the promises,
that I find in His Word
my hope is my salvation
from the truth I have heard.

My hope has no real measure,
it can’t be tied up or bound
my hope is inexhaustible
it can always be found.

My hope fills me with power,
it is strong and steadfast
my hope is in the Lord Jesus
and into eternity it will last!

Tears In A Bottle

There is a bottle up in heaven,
filling up with all your tears
drop by drop the Lord collects
the full harvest of your fears.

There is not a tear that falls,
where He is not aware
for He understands each drip
and the cause of your despair.

When tears of sadness,
are followed up with grief
He garners them in His vial
and sends His peace for relief.

He knows every wound,
as He gathers up your pain
and all your hurtful tears
to Him become like rain.

He reaps each tender trickle,
with His mercies from above
collects them in His bottle
and caps them  ~ with His love.

Thirsty Souls ~

The soul thirsts,
after rivers deep
pant like gasps
from inside seep.

Murmurs heard,
from parched lips
needing more
more ~ than tiny sips.

Living waters,
or living hell
flowing streams
or dried up old well.

The arid soul,
is keen and eager
for its full share
not what is meager.

Spring of hope,
scorched creek bed
the thirsty soul needs
the Fountainhead.

Bitter waters,
God will soon heal
water of life flows
from Calvary Hill.

The soul thirsts
after rivers deep
but only God . . .
makes them seep!

All Other god’s Are Idols

All other gods are just idols,
worthless, useless and feign
they hold no power or value
nor can they rule or reign.

There’s only One God I know of,
He made the heavens and earth
and the Good News I bring you
will show His magnificent worth.

Honor and majesty are before Him,
strength and beauty is His domain
the sea swells to His greatness
Holier than Holy is His blessed name.

He has brought salvation to the world,
to all the people of every nation
soon He will pour out His judgment
and each will receive their due ration.

The universe will tremble before Him,
when on His magnificence all eyes gaze
the trees in the forest will rejoice
every living creature will sing His praise.

Mercy and truth He will bring,
than all other gods will burn away
for all the people will finally see
His righteousness on judgment day.

All other gods are just idols,
worthless, useless and feign
and I have a burning need to tell you
my God will soon come to  reign!
