God doesn’t care about . . .
our should have’s and only if’s
He doesn’t nose around the past
in our mistakes, He doesn’t sniff.
He won’t dig up the wild seeds,
that in our life we have sown
He only cares from our mistakes
if in His wisdom, we have grown.
He doesn’t make our skeletons,
come back to taunt or haunt us
for when we confess our sins
He throws them under the bus.
God doesn’t sits around stewing,
over the errors we have made
He doesn’t want our minds troubled
or our hearts to be dismayed.
God only cares about our future,
where we go from here and now
and our should have’s and only if’s
He no longer wants us to avow!

King James Version
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do, forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth
unto those things which are before,”
