Draw Nigh Lord ~

Draw nigh Lord,
to those who are in need
for You in their lives
to guide and lead.

Come closer Lord,
to those calling out
for Your truth
instead of their doubt.

Move nearer Lord,
into the lives of those
needing their nerves
for You to compose.

Pull in Lord,
those who’ve gone astray
show them again
the Truth, Life and Way.

Drawn nigh Lord,
come close and near
pull those deeper into You
till they no longer fear!

My Daily Journey ~

my-yearly-journey-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Lord, in my daily journey,
to get closer to You . . .
I’m happy to see how much
my faith, in You grew.

For, I’ve grown in grace,
mercy and forbearance
as You keep teaching me
all about perseverance.

I’m learning to be content,
no matter what life brings
as You show me how to be
thankful for all things.

You’ve instructed me,
all about fruit bearing
producing in me an attitude
more giving and caring.

Lord, I know my journey,
isn’t over quite yet . . .
but, the longer that I have
the closer to You, I will get!

Closer Everyday ~

Drawing Nearer ~ CHRISTian poem by deborah ann ~

I’m being drawn,
closer every day
I’m getting further
down the narrow way.

I’m being pulled,
in the right direction
I’m being drawn
by a divine connection.

I’m being guided,
down the righteous way
I’m getting nearer
to the goal every day.

I’m being lead,
towards the eternal light
I’m being taught
to win the faithful fight.

I’m being drawn,
closer in every way
I’m moving nearer
to God each day!

The Closer We Are to Jesus ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ no-regrets

The closer we are to Jesus,
the less likely we’ll fall into sin
the nearer we are to Him
the more power we’ll have within.

The faster we repent,
the closer to Jesus we will be
the sooner we find His grace
the more of God’s mercy we’ll see.

The more we know Jesus,
the less we will have to fear
the nearer we grow to God
the farther our regrets will appear.

The quicker we turn to Jesus,
the sooner we will find God’s peace
the earlier we believe in Him
the sooner our faith will increase.

The closer we follow Jesus,
the nearer God will be to us . . .
the tighter we are to Jesus
the more in God we will trust!

Draw Us Nearer Lord ~

Find Rest CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Draw us nearer Lord, unto Thee,
take us closer into You
hold our hands and lead us
to all things good and new.

Dear Lord, we need Thee,
there’s nothing we can do
without the strength coming
from the joy of knowing You.

Oh Lord, our hope is in Thee,
guide our lives every day
help us to not wander far
from the true, righteous way.

Draw us nearer Lord, unto Thee,
let our hearts not have concern
as we wait with expectancy
for the day of Your return!

Closer ~

Closer ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

The closer I’m to the Lord,
the more I feel His peace
as the burdens on my soul
onto Him I release.

The closer I’m to Jesus,
the more of His grace I find
as the worries on my heart
no longer play on my mind.

The closer I’m to my Savior,
the more I know I’m blessed
for the nearer I’m to Him
the more I have perfect rest.

The closer I’m to the Lord,
the closer He is to me . . .
there’s no place in the world
that I would rather be!

Marc Minter

Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.

“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
