When Jesus Is All You Have ~

When all you have is anguish,
when there’s nothing more to do
and all of your pain and suffering
has taken the very best from you. 

When trials turn into desperation,
when they start to overburden you
and the pressure of your troubles
you can no longer alone get through.

When your misery turns to despair,
when you feel hopelessness inside
and another raging, internal storm
you don’t have the strength to ride.

When Jesus is all you have,
when you finally come to your knees
and you give Him all your hardships
you’ll find He will meet all your needs.

For Jesus is your burden bearer,
and He will never disappoint . . .
so cast your cares upon Him
before you reach your breaking point!

The Gospel of Grace ~

I believe in the Gospel of grace,
by faith and by faith alone . . .
I believe only through Jesus’ blood
the sins of mankind are atoned.

I believe grace cleanses,
the effects of evil and sin
I believe Jesus our very souls
died so them He could win.

I believe grace pardons,
the guilty and shamed face
I believe Jesus upon Himself
took the brunt of our disgrace.

I believe grace heals,
the hurt, the pain, the ache
I believe Jesus our hearts
can soften, reform and remake.

I believe grace gives rest,
to the depressed and friendless
I believe Jesus came to save
all who are lonely and hopeless.

I believe in the Gospel of grace,
by faith and nothing more . . .
I believe God’s gift of grace
redeems, heals and restores!

When In The Wilderness ~

It gets lonely,
in the wilderness
it feels lifeless
cold and treacherous.

But, when God takes us,
into the wilderness
He wants us with Him
to get down to business.

It’s easy to get lost,
in the wilderness
it can be discouraging
in the land of bitterness.

But, when we trust God,
in the wilderness
He’ll walk us through
our insecureness.

It can be very dangerous,
in the wilderness
it can be desolate
in the land of hopelessness.

But, when God sends us,
into the wilderness . . .
it’s so He can heal us
of our stubbornness!

Salvation’s Valley ~

There’s pain in the valley,
regret and despair
there’s grief and sorrow
plenty of spiritual warfare.

There’s a deep darkness,
a consuming hopelessness
an overwhelming feeling
of gloom and helplessness.

There’s hope anew,
in the valley of salvation
there’s an inner discovery
a spiritual revelation.

There’s a deep refection,
a recall, a remembrance
there’s prayer and pleadings
tearful cries of repentance.

There’s pain in the valley,
but, then comes the peace
when with God  . . .
our struggle’s finally cease!

Disappointments ~

Disappointments come,
into every one’s life . . .
some we can push aside
others cause inside strife.

They have many shapes,
but, with the same face
for, hopelessness knows
it’s all about the chase.

They can poke around,
or hit straight in the gut
for, depression only wants
you wallowing in its rut.

They come in many forms,
but, with the same attitude
making singing the blues
almost impossible to elude.

Into every one’s life,
comes disappointment . . .
but, I have found God’s Word
to be failure’s curing ointment!
