Psalm 91:1-16
Lord, come comfort me today,
I need to feel Your arms
shielding and protecting me
from all that hurts and harms.
Take away this unrest,
filling my heart and my soul
come to me with Your arms
ready to soothe and console.
Lord, come give me solace,
peace and encouragement
today in Your loving arms
let me find nourishment.
Remove my anxiety,
relieve me from my fear
in Your waiting arms
draw me close and near.
Lord, come comfort me today,
hold me in Your embrace
renew in me the hope . . .
of Your undying grace!

“Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me;
for I am meek
and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light.”

In life there are storms,
we all have to go through
finding a refuge from them
is the first thing we must do.
We need to trust God,
until the storm passes on
for He will keep us safe
till the turbulence is gone.
In life there are storms,
we know they’ll be coming
we just don’t know the ones
that’ll bring heavy flooding.
We don’t know how long,
each storm will be or last
but, we can count on God
for His promises of the past.
In the storms of life,
as the gale’s do blow . . .
God has for us a shelter
under His wing’s shadow!

“Be merciful unto me, O God,
be merciful unto me:
for my soul trusteth in thee:
yea, in the shadow of thy wings
will I make my refuge,
until these calamities be overpast.”

Today, there is a storm
but, I’m still going to sing
no matter how much rain
on my life it may bring.
I will leap and I will jump,
though each and every puddle
for under my Father’s wings
I will securely huddle.
If lightning were to strike,
my Father will protect me
if the thunder comes to roar
under His wings I’ll safely be.
No matter how hard it pours,
or how sizeable the drops
in my Father’s shadow
I will stay until it stops.
Today, on me it’s raining,
but, I am still going to sing
because I know I am safe . . .
under His Almighty wings!

“Because thou hast been my help,
therefore in the shadow of thy
wings will I rejoice.”
