You Needn’t Be a Magi ~

You needn’t be a Magi,
to follow the CHRISTmas Star . . .
you don’t have to make a trip
or need to come from very far.

You don’t have to bring gifts,
of gold, myrrh or frankincense
it won’t cost you a thing . . .
other then your penitence.

You needn’t be a shepherd,
to follow the CHRISTmas Star . . .
you don’t have to go anywhere
it will come to where you are.

For, Jesus is the Light shinning,
for all of the world to see . . .
He brings hope to the darkness
with His grace He’ll set you free.

You don’t have to be a Magi,
or a shepherd coming from afar
you can accept the gift of Jesus . . .
today, right from where you are!

We All Need God’s Help ~

We all need God’s help,
in the things we do
we all need His grace
to help us get through.

We need God’s guidance,
to continue as we go
we need His power
in our lives to flow.

We need God’s support,
as we go about the day
we need His favor
along the righteous way.

We need God’s assistance,
for the load we’re carrying
we need His strength
if He should keep tarrying.

We all need God’s help,
in the things we have to do
we all need His mercy . . .
in our lives each day anew!

Stop And Pray Each Day ~

 

Each day we need,
to stop and pray
and listen to . . .
what God has to say.

We need to pray,
for His mercy anew
so temptation
we can subdue.

We need to pray,
for more grace
so the enemy
we can face.

We need to pray,
for His favor
if our faith
should waiver.

We Need to pray,
for His healing balm
to help keeps us
still and calm.

We need to pray,
for His power
so we’ll have victory
no matter the hour.

We need to pray,
for His wisdom
to give unto us
a clear vision.

Each day we need,
to continually pray . . .
for we never know
what’ll come our way!

Without God’s Mercy ~

Without God’s mercy,
I would be pitiful
without His favor
I would be miserable.

Without His compassion,
I wouldn’t be sympathetic
without His humbleness
I wouldn’t be apologetic.

Without God’s clemency,
I would be hopeless
without God’s patience
I would be useless.

Without His mildness,
I would not be forgiving
without His tenderness
I would not be accepting.

Without God’s mercy,
I would be deplorable
without His favor
I would be just horrible!

Seeking God’s Favor ~

Those who seek God’s favor,
rejoice in the morning . . .
they give ear to His word
He considers their groaning.

They cry out to the living God,
for answers to their prayers
they trust He will respond
to their worries and their cares.

They know He will protect them,
from the burdens life brings
tis why at the break of dawn . . .
their praise to Him, they sing.

They trust Him along the way,
to shelter them in any storm
to the world they’re resolved
not to follow or to conform.

Those who seek God’s favor,
each morning look up . . .
and sip the mercy flowing
right from their King’s cup!

Hope Everlasting ~

Hope brings . . .

my heart gladness,
rest unto my strife
Hope gives me courage
brings strength to my life.

Hope lifts up my soul,
fills me full of grace
Hope teaches me to wait
to seek His Holy face.

Hope is my shield,
in these days of evil
Hope is my escape from
the world’s upheaval.

Hope is my refuge,
a place for me to run
Hope is my anchor
in God’s begotten Son.

Hope is everlasting,
brings God  great pleasure
Hope makes me happy
for, it’s my eternal treasure.

Hope is full of praise,
is something I can trust
Hope turns me away

Hope is my salvation,
full of mercy and favor
Hope brings redemption
through my Lord and Savior.

Hope is my patience,
in things that aren’t seen
Hope is my future promise
to endure time in between.

Forgiveness in the Son ~

It’s not that I don’t remember,
it’s just that I choose to forget
my life as I lived it . . .
before the day Jesus and I met.

It’s not that I can’t recall,
the places that I have been
but, I know it’s just the devil
who wants to visit my past sin.

It’s not that I don’t regret,
or feel the shame of disgrace
it’s just that I know I’m forgiven
because of Jesus’ awesome grace.

It’s not that I don’t consider,
my life before I was saved
it’s just that I don’t want to be
to my former days enslaved.

So, don’t throw in others faces,
the wrong things they have done
for, we’re all a bunch of sinners
needing to forgive every one!

The Path of Praise ~

The path of praise is paved,
with songs of joyousness
glorious hallelujahs
sung with thankfulness.

Praise fills the hearts,
of those who seek the Lord
they sing salvation’s song
with gratitude in each chord.

Trusting voices raise offerings,
of praise and adoration
to their almighty God
they sing their admiration.

Faithful lips sing the words,
of devotion to their Savior
praising and thanking Him
for His grace and favor.

The path of praise is paved,
with hallelujahs galore
filled with joyous thankfulness
to the One who they adore!

The Real Housewife in God’s Home!

The real housewife in God’s home,
isn’t like the one in Beverly Hills
for you won’t see her strutting about
in a short skirt and her high heels.

She has a heart that is spun of gold,
she’s full of wisdom and God’s grace
she doesn’t wear a lot of makeup
to cover her unfaithful, plastic face.

Her husband is pleased with her,
he trusts her to do what is right
she is not quarrelsome or angry
with him she does not pick a fight.

She manages all of his earthly affairs,
she doesn’t have one with her neighbor
she makes her husband proud of her
and in his eyes she holds his favor.

The real housewife in God’s house,
doesn’t go to fancy, pricey dining places
she plants, reaps, and serves her meals
to her families happy, grateful faces.

She isn’t a nosey, busy body,
and gossip to her is a dirty word
instead she shares the Gospel truth
spreading the goodness she has heard.

She isn’t an ambitious career woman,
who leaves her family to fend for itself
she is a strong, dignified, caring woman
who gives God her inner and outer self.

Her husband and children love her,
and respect her kind, generous ways
she’s not like the wives of Beverly Hills
for, she’s given God all her living days!

Divine Grace

By the grace of God,
I am what I am . . .
His mercy and favor
is why I do what I can.

My words are idle,
they hold no worth
if they’re not from Him
they fall to the earth.

I labor in vain,
all my works are dust
without His grace
they’ll turn to rust.

without God’s grace
I haven’t the power
to finish the race.

without divine grace
abundantly living in me!

Jesus Knows Your Pain ~

Jesus knows your pain,
He understands your grief
He knows that only His love
can bring your heart relief.

He recognizes your sorrow,
He sees the spiteful sting
and the grace He has for you
in your life, He wants to bring.

He’s aware of your rejection,
He hears others put you down
and His favor and His mercy
will be your victory crown.

He identifies with your hurt,
the tenderness of your ache
and He will bring you comfort
that no man could ever break.

For He too ~ was rejected,
His life others gladly discarded
He knows the agony inflected
when your cry is disregarded.

Jesus knows your pain,
He wants to give you relief
for He died to put an end to
your sorrow and your grief.
