Troubles Abounding ~

In this fallen world . . .
they’ll be troubles abounding
worries and cares
conceptually confounding.

But, Jesus said we’re not,
to fret or to despair
but to hand over to Him
our every single care.

Each day there’s enough,
troubles of its own
packed full of anxiety
from the things unknown.

But, Jesus insisted,
we are not to dread
nor are we to panic
but to trust Him instead.

In this fallen world,
we’ll have plenty of distress
but, Jesus makes it clear
over them we needn’t obsess!

that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.”

Living In A Fallen World ~

Living In A Fallen World ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

In a world fallen,
we’re all victims
we suffer from sin
and its symptoms.

We lie and cheat,
our neighbor’s we cuss
we’re full of envy
filled with greed and lust.

We rebel, we rise up,
we’re full of pride
our hatred for others
we do not try to hide.

We cheat and take,
we rob and we steal
babies in the womb
everyday we kill.

In a world fallen,
we are all living
and from our sins
we need forgiving.

We need God,
to heal each one
through the blood
of His precious Son.

We need Jesus,
to release the pain
so He can wash away
sin’s deadly stain.

In a world fallen,
we are all a part
and we need God’s love
in each and every heart!

Romans 13:9

“For this,
Thou shalt not commit adultery,

Thou shalt not kill,
Thou shalt not steal,

Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Thou shalt not covet;
and if there be

any other commandment,
it is briefly

comprehended in this saying,
namely,

Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself.”

Peace, Peace!

he-is-our-peace-thumb-used with permission IBible Verses

Peace, peace the world cries,
we can live in perfect harmony
let’s claim a common ground
and rid the earth of its irony.

Peace, peace I hear them cry,
we can have total tranquility
just tolerate who and what I am
don’t speak about God‘s morality.

Peace, peace I hear them shout,
on the streets in high protest
cursing those who believe in Christ
as they beat dissent upon their chest.

Peace, peace I hear them scream,
the world can be as one
we believe in the evolution of man
not the gift of some god’s Son.

Peace, peace I hear them yell,
let us not go to war and fight
for we believe our true enemies are
those who walk in His light.

Peace, peace the world cries,
no matter where they are from
but they’re not interested in the fact
only in Jesus ~ will true peace come!

Be of Good Cheer ~

but-take-heart_thumb used with permission IBible Verses

In this fallen world,
we’ll have pain and sorrow
but Jesus came to give us
a brighter tomorrow.

Oh, there’ll be days of defeat,
trials along with persecution
but Jesus came to overcome
the turmoil and confusion.

He knew we’d have troubles,
many worries and cares
but He came to comfort
and our burdens He does bear.

We’ll have grief and tragedy,
illnesses and disease
but He came to restore
and to set our minds at ease.

In this fallen world,
we’ll have pain and sorrow
but be of good cheer . . .
Jesus overcame our tomorrow!

Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.

“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
