Wisely Walking ~

Father I thank You,
today for Your grace
and the wisdom I need
to wisely run the race.

For, I know of the evil,
I will witness today
and to walk cautiously
must be my mainstay.

Father I thank you,
today for Your direction
for the wisdom to have
in the world no connection.

For, though times are dark,
You make it clear to me
how living like a fool
I do not want to be.

Father I thank you,
for helping me to walk wise
so that I can be mindful
of satan’s traps and lies!

“See then that ye walk circumspectly,
not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time,
because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise,
but understanding what
the will of the Lord is.”

Walking Wisely ~

 

Oh, Father I thank you,
today for Your grace
for the wisdom I need
in this world I’ll face.

For I know of the evil,

and walking wisely

Oh, Father I thank you,
for Your constant guidance
as I strive for perfection
in a world full of defiance.

For, I know the perversion,
that is going out there
for to its ungodliness
Your Word keeps me aware.

Oh, Father I thank you,
for the wisdom You give
for without it I don’t know . . .
how in this world I’d live!

New Year Prayer ~

Lord, this year help me,
to walk watchfully . . .
let my every footstep
be made cautiously.

Let me choose the path,
of the least resistance
from the foolish way
let me keep my distance.

Let me make the most,
of each day before me
help me to take time
to spend only with Thee.

Let me be ever watchful,
of Satan’s wicked  tricks
so into His evil snares
I’ll not fall or trip.

Lord, this year help me,
to wait and to be still
until I understand . . .
what is Your perfect will!
