Breaking Point ~
When you have reached,
your breaking point
turn to the Word of God
let it heal and anoint.
It will give you strength,
for what lies ahead
as you read the verses
pray to be Spirit lead
When you are confused,
not knowing what to do
open up your Bible
let its light show you.
On the pages you’ll find,
the truth and the way
and all of your tension
it will melt away.
When you have reached,
the point of breaking
trust God to do all . . .
your decision-making!

Without God’s Mercy ~
Without God’s mercy,
I would be pitiful
without His favor
I would be miserable.
Without His compassion,
I wouldn’t be sympathetic
without His humbleness
I wouldn’t be apologetic.
Without God’s clemency,
I would be hopeless
without God’s patience
I would be useless.
Without His mildness,
I would not be forgiving
without His tenderness
I would not be accepting.
Without God’s mercy,
I would be deplorable
without His favor
I would be just horrible!

“Put on therefore, as the elect of God
holy and beloved, bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind,
meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving
one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ forgave
you, so also do ye.”

God Never Fails ~
God, You never fail,
but, often I do
especially when . . .
I don’t come to You.
You never give up,
but, often I will
usually because . . .
I can’t be still.
You never falter,
but, often I stumble
typically because . . .
I’m not always humble.
You never waver,
but, often I hesitate
especially when You . . .
I underestimate.
God, You never fail,
You’re constant and true
tis the reason always . . .
I can count on You!

The Gift of Goodness ~
The gift of God’s goodness,
is ours to give away . . .
for, we must always be ready
to show kindness every day.
The simple gift of a smile,
may brighten another’s day
giving someone a compliment
can go a long, long way.
A quick little thank you,
might be all someone needs
any selfless act of charity
should be in all our deeds.
We don’t need a lot of money,
to spread around compassion
we just need a heart for God
Jesus the center, of our passion.
The gift of God’s goodness,
is ours to give away . . .
for we never know whose heart
our actions to God, will sway!

Eternally Grateful ~
Oh, Lord when I mediate,
on Your tender mercy . . .
my heart for You becomes
ever-more thirsty.
I want to drink in,
all of Your compassion . . .
I want to bottle up
each drop of Your passion.
Oh, Lord when I ponder,
on Your abundant grace . . .
I cannot, but help to fall
down on my thankful face.
Not out of shame,
but, out of respect and fear
for, Your eternal love for me
makes my eyes well and tear.
Oh, Lord when I concentrate,
on Your faithfulness . . .
my hearts swells for you
with eternal gratefulness!

Psalm 100:4-5
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

Mercy Anew ~
Lord, You are my Rock,
my only safe harbor
in You, I can find rest
under mercy’s arbor.
Your great faithfulness,
shall never leave me
Your compassion comes
with this one guarantee . . .
When I rise in the morning,
You’ll always be there
with merciful hands
to take upon my cares.
You will be my hope,
as the sun appears
collecting in Your bottle
all of my nightly tears.
Lord, You are my portion,
I claim my stake in You
as I quietly seek . . .
Your mercy anew!

Lamentations 3:22-25
King James Version
“It is of the Lord’s mercies
that we are not consumed,
because his compassion’s fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion,
saith my soul;
therefore will I hope in him.
The Lord is good unto them
that wait for him,
to the soul that seeketh him.”

A Heart Full of Grace ~
When a heart is full of grace,
it is a heart that is kind
compassion for others
it always tries to find.
It puts on humility,
wears the cloak of patience
it dresses itself with modesty
wears the robe of justice.
It is wrapped in peace,
It’s covered in forgiveness
drapes itself with love
it’s swathed in gentleness.
When a heart is full of grace,
gratitude is its garment
the Word of God . . .
is its wardrobe requirement!

Unrelenting Grace ~
Unrelenting grace,
never gives up . . .
flows abundantly
from hope’s eternal cup.
Unremitting mercy,
unstoppable compassion
flows with the blood
of Jesus’ undying passion.
Unavoidable forgiveness,
unchangeable love
flows down like manna
from the heaven above.
Unrelenting grace,
unyielding persistence
over came the world
to win man’s resistance.

My Compass of Love ~
Lord, Your love is my compass,
I use it everyday . . .
for I know it will lead me
to the true and righteous way.
When I need directions,
Your love guides me
so I can be nearer
and closer to Thee.
Whenever things are foggy,
I look to the Morning Star
knowing You will point me
right to where You are.
I can’t explain the expanse,
of Your love and grace
but no matter where I go
I feel it shine on my face.
Lord, Your love is full,
of truth and compassion
it has become for me . . .
my one true companion!

Sweet Release ~
Lord, tonight I am tired,
weary and sleepy too
but, I know in the morning
I will start afresh in You.
But, for now I need rest,
on Your mercy I’ll lay my head
as I turn down the blankets
Your grace will cover my bed.
I’ll think of Your goodness,
Your compassion and Your love
visions of eternal life with You
will be all I’ll be dreaming of.
Sweet release will be mine,
from the hardships of the day
for I trust Your faithfulness
tomorrow will not go away!

The Sin of Bitterness~
I saw the look of bitterness,
staring at me in the face
it held no compassion
nor any mercy or no grace.
It’s beady, steely eyes,
look right past my soul
making it clear to me
resentment was its goal.
I could see into the gaze,
of someone who can’t forgive
and the cause of the problem
how they constantly relive.
They say if looks could kill,
right now I’d be dead . . .
for the look of bitterness
has an evil, toxic head.
Bitterness is a sin,
destructive in every way
its roots need to be destroyed
for hearts and souls are its prey!

lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,
and thereby many be defiled;”

The Cross of Compassion ~
I cried the day I met Jesus,
I wailed, I bawled, I groaned
I cried learning how He died
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned.
I cried when I found out,
He was crucified to save me
I cried when I discovered
in His death I was set free.
I cried when I first knew,
by His death I was justified
I wept, I wailed, I sobbed
the day I heard Jesus died.
I cried when I received,
the gift of His eternal passion
I cried when I found my hope
on the Cross of His compassion.
I cried the day I envisioned,
the blood stains on His face
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned
thanking God for His grace!

The Fullness of God ~
He isn’t the God,
of the have or have not’s
He is the God . . .
for all of our needs and wants.
He isn’t the God,
of the half-full, half-empty
He is the God . . .
who has for each one plenty.
He isn’t the God,
of only the poor in spirit
He is the God . . .
for every soul to inherit.
He isn’t the God,
of only the one who fears
He is the God . . .
who sees everyone’s tears.
He isn’t the God,
of only the meek and poor
He is the God . . .
knocking on every heart’s door.
He isn’t the God,
of only the deaf or mute
He is the God . . .
that is absolute.
He isn’t the God,
made up of iron or stone
He is the God . . .
who sits on heaven’s throne!
