On This Thanksgiving Day ~

On this Thanksgiving Day,
I am so thankful for . . .
the Bread of Life
who opened to me the door.

And now today I sup,
at the table of His kindness
my soul He nourishes
as I feast upon His goodness.

A heaven sent like manna,
full of God’s mercy and favor
is the love and grace
of Jesus Christ my Savior.

My hunger pangs no more,
my thirst He quenches. . .
now that the Holy Spirit
my heart entrenches.

On this Thanksgiving Day,
I feast on the Bread of Life
who fills me with the peace
of a blissful afterlife!
