If Only I Could ~

If only I could collect,
in the world all the hate
I’d show it the way . . .
to the narrow gate.

I would let it know,
how to let its anger go
so God’s love instead
could begin to flow.

If only I could glean,
all the world’s wickedness
I’d show it the way
to eternal happiness.

I would let it know,
how evil is never good
and how it is satan’s
favorite falsehood.

If only I could gather up,
all the hate and evilness
I would show it the way . . .
to eternal peacefulness!
