We Are Earthen Vessels ~

We are earthen vessels,
treasures, yes we are . . .
God’s power bottled up
in each and every jar.

So when we are troubled,
we do not fret or stress
instead we claim victory
that in Him we possess.

And when we’re perplexed,
our trust in God we declare
so that we will not fall
into a state of despair.

And when we’re persecuted,
our lives are not shaken
for God’s promised us
we’d never be forsaken.

And when we’re cast down,
we are not devastated
for we know from God
we’ll never be separated.

We are earthen vessels,
inside of us Jesus lives
and daily into our life’s
His power He boldly gives!

But we have this treasure
in earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power may
be of God, and not of us.

We are troubled on every side,
yet not distressed;
we are perplexed,
but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken;

Always bearing about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our body.
