When on the outside,
there is but turbulence
on the inside . . .
I’ve a quiet confidence.
For I do not trust,
all the things I hear
I only trust the things
God whispers in my ear.
When on the outside,
there is but stress
on the inside
I have perfect rest.
For I do not believe,
everything I see
I only believe in what
Jesus reveals to me.
When on the outside,
there is but confusion
I’m so thankful to have . . .
the Holy Spirit’s infusion!
~~~~~~~~
For the Lord shall be
thy confidence,
and shall keep thy foot
from being taken.
For thus saith the Lord God,
the Holy One of Israel; In returning
and rest shall ye be saved;
in quietness and in confidence
shall be your strength:
and ye would not.
