The Arm Of Love ~

The arm of love,
reached down to me
lifted me from the pit
so with Him I could be.
Holding out His hand,
He said to grab on
so that to His mercy
I would be drawn.
The arm of love,
pulled me in closer
so to my old ways
I would have closure.
Touching my heart,
He said to always cleave
and then He promised
He would never leave.
The arm of love,
Jesus revealed to me
so for eternity . . .
with Him I could be!
~~~~~~~~
O sing unto the Lord a new song;
for he hath done marvellous things:
his right hand, and his holy arm
hath gotten him the victory.
That the saying of Esaias
the prophet might be fulfilled,
which he spake, Lord, who hath
believed our report? and to
whom hath the arm of the
Lord been revealed?
Navigating Through Another Year~
Lord, as I navigate,
through yet another year
I’m going to need You . . .
to stay close and near.
If I am to chart out,
a new course for each day
I’m going to need You . . .
to shed light on my way.
As I try to plow through,
the obstacles I’m able
I’m going to need You . . .
to keep my trust stable.
If I’m going to weather,
each storms out at sea
I’m going to need You . . .
to keep Your eyes on me.
Lord, as I navigate,
through yet another year
I’m counting on You . . .
to give me faith over fear!
be not afraid, neither be thou
dismayed: for the Lord thy God
is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
A Quite Confidence ~
When on the outside,
there is but turbulence
on the inside . . .
I’ve a quiet confidence.
For I do not trust,
all the things I hear
I only trust the things
God whispers in my ear.
When on the outside,
there is but stress
on the inside
I have perfect rest.
For I do not believe,
everything I see
I only believe in what
Jesus reveals to me.
When on the outside,
there is but confusion
I’m so thankful to have . . .
the Holy Spirit’s infusion!
~~~~~~~~
For the Lord shall be
thy confidence,
and shall keep thy foot
from being taken.
For thus saith the Lord God,
the Holy One of Israel; In returning
and rest shall ye be saved;
in quietness and in confidence
shall be your strength:
and ye would not.

Stay Still My Soul ~

Stay still my soul,
be still and know . . .
for God is with you
wherever you go.
Tremble yourself not,
rather wait and be still
for God will show you
what is His perfect will.
Be at rest my soul,
be at peace inside
let the Holy Spirit
in your heart reside.
Listen for His voice,
in the quiet stillness
and God will release
on you His calmness.
Stay sill my soul,
be still and know . . .
and from the truth
do not let go!
~~~~~~~~
Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
Joy And Contentment ~
Lord give us a spirit,
of joy and contentment
not one of bitterness
envy or resentment.
Help us to be at peace,
no matter what our state
so we will not be filled
with jealousy or hate.
Lord, give us a spirit,
of delight and gladness
not one full of rage
lunacy and madness.
Teach us to be brave,
amidst discouragement
so our action won’t be
caustic or too astringent.
Lord gives us a spirit,
content where we are
in a world that’s become
absurd and bizarre!
~~~~~~~~
Not that I speak in respect
of want: for I have learned,
in whatsoever state I am,
therewith to be content.
