Consider It For Joy ~

Consider it for joy,
when things go wrong
consider when they do
it’s to make you strong.

For when you are tested,
endurance it will bring
so that your faith in God
will not lack anything.

Consider it for joy,
when things go amiss
consider to embrace them
not to wearily dismiss.

For when you are tried,
perseverance it will bring
so that your trust in God
will continue to spring.

Consider it all for joy,
perfect, eternal and blissful
consider how it will make . . .
all things seem less dismal!

My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying
of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work,
that ye may be perfect and entire,
