When bad news,
I hear about
I shut the door
on fear and doubt.
Instead I open up,
my trusting heart
so peace into it
God can impart.
Whenever I hear,
things not so great
on my mind
I don’t let them grate.
Instead I open up,
my Bible to read
how to trust God
for all that I need.
When bad news,
I get a whiff of
I fix my heart on . . .
God’s trusting love!
~~~~~~~~
He shall not be afraid
of evil tidings:
his heart is fixed,
trusting in the Lord.
