I know no better friend,
no other to hang around
none who can help to keep
my heart and mind sound.
I know no pal or buddy,
no other who can for me
keep my faith believing
in what I cannot see.
I know no other sidekick,
no other to spend my day
none who can help me
on the narrow way to stay.
I know no acquaintance,
no other who I can confide
none who can promise me
to always be at my side.
I know no better friend,
no other one who is true
that is why Jesus . . .
I put my faith in only You!
~~~~~~~~
A friend loveth at all times,
Greater love hath
no man than this,
that a man lay down
his life for his friends.
Hi Deborah Ann. I needed to “check in” since I haven’t commented for so long. I hope you are doing well. This poem reflects your spiritual life which is a blessing to all of your readers I’m sure. My family is well. We have been making a serious attempt not to get the Covid as Hannah, my daughter, has a very compromised immune system. We thank God each day for another day.
May God richly bless your day!
Hi there Chris long time no comments from neither of us 🙂 Thank you for checking in. We are doing great and doing our best to stay away from catching the virus. It has been a long frustrating year with all that has been going on. We even had Antifa come up to our area which is 90 miles away from Seattle and is just a quite community. I know and trust all is in God’s control! Between the virus and the political mess our country and the world is in I am taking the time to clean up my armor. I am glad to hear your family is staying safe and healthy. May God continue to protect you under the shadow of His wings. Much love Debby
Hi Debby.
I am so glad to hear that all is well. The Covid has sure put a kink in things but we are trying to make the best of it as well. I have a friend who lives about 1/2 hour North of Seattle and he hasn’t been comfortable with the radical activities near to him. It has been a frustrating year in so many ways. One positive thing is that I have had to slow down. There are benefits in that. We have the same view (surprise!) about the world in which we live. Most have no time to “clean up their armor.” Even though there have been huge increases in online hits to sites like Bible Gateway, Americans are reading their Bibles less than ever. No wonder we are in trouble.
Thank you for your kind words and your encouraging posts. May God continue to protect you and your family as well. Much love back atcha. Chris
Yes, Seattle is the hot bed and we are 90 miles away. So to have them come all the way up here tells me they are going to go everywhere and its best to be prepared. I agree slowing down is a benefit but then again I am getting pretty slow at getting things done just due to age 🙂
Take care and stay healthy! ❤
