Thanksgiving is the time,
of finding true contentment
a time to praise God . . .
without any resentment.
A time to discover,
the secret of gratitude
a time to let thanksgiving
become our daily attitude.
Thanksgiving is the time,
of finding satisfaction
a time for appreciation
no matter our condition.
It’s a time to be thankful,
to God for everything
a time to be grateful
for whatever He may bring.
Thanksgiving’s a cornucopia,
of having true contentment
for all those who on God . . .
are genuinely dependent!
~~~~~
Not that I speak in respect of want:
for I have learned, in whatsoever
state I am, therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased,
and I know how to abound:
every where and in all things
I am instructed both
to be full and to be hungry,
both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.
