When I Cry to God ~

When I cry to God,
for more understanding
to His Word He sends me
for wisdom upstanding.

I open up my ears,
to what He is saying
over what He tells me
I find myself praying.

I search for the treasures,
He Word holds for me
until silvery ray’s of hope
are all I’m able to see.

As I gain more knowledge,
into my heart I tuck away
how to keep His commands
so not to be led astray.

When I cry to God,
when my ears I incline
I find my heart with His . . .
can’t help but to align!

Proverbs 2:1-5

My son, if thou wilt receive my words
and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest
for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou
understand the fear of the LORD,
and find the knowledge of God.
