God’s Looking ~
God looks and He looks,
hoping to find . . .
those who love Him
with whole hearts and minds.
He scans the whole earth,
His eyes wander around
seeks everywhere . . .
but so few are found
God eyes keep moving,
they run all about
looking to find souls
who to Him are devout.
He looks hard to locate,
hearts that are perfect
those who have for Him
holy fear and respect.
God looks and He looks
but finds hardly a one
for so many now . . .
reject and deny His Son!

“For the eyes of the Lord run
to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong in the behalf
of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”

A Warning ~
Don’t be fooled,
though saved by grace
to these truths . . .
we must embrace.
Do not go down the road,
of sexual temptation
rather to immorality
have no association.
Don’t continue to sin,
or stay on the wide way
rather confess and repent
right now without delay.
Do not drift or fall back,
into godless living
rather into righteousness
keep yourself pressing.
Don’t fall victim,
to satan’s attacks
rather flee for your life . . .
and don’t look back!
~~~~~~~~~
“For the grace of God that
bringeth salvation hath
appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly,
in this present world;”
Passionately Insatiable ~
Lord let me not get,
too old to keep learning
keep my eagerness
for knowledge burning.
Let me not become,
too comfortable
thinking I am . . .
oh, so knowledgeable.
Lord, let me continue,
to keep on growing
may I never grow tired
of more of You knowing.
Let me not be,
content in my ways
so I may gain wisdom
for the rest of my days.
Lord let me not get,
too old and lackadaisical
keep my knowledge for You
passionately insatiable!
~~~~~~~~
“But grow in grace,
and in the knowledge
of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ.
To him be glory
both now and for ever.”
Amen.

A Prisoner of Hope ~
I’m a prisoner of hope,
for Jesus captured me
the day when from this world
He came and set me free.
I’m a prisoner of love,
for Jesus gave me life
the day when upon Himself
He took my worldly strife.
I am a prisoner of faith,
for Jesus convicted me
of the hidden sin in my life
that only He could see.
I’m a prisoner of trust,
for Jesus gave me light
the day when He filled me
with the Holy Spirit’s might.
I’m a prisoner of hope,
love, faith and trust . . .
for Jesus showed me
He is always fair and just!
~~~~~~~
Turn you to the strong hold,
ye prisoners of hope:
even to day do I declare
that I will render
double unto thee;
Old Creature Gone ~
Old creature gone,
exchanged for the new
the day Lord, Jesus
we came to follow You.
Old dirty habits,
old thoughts and ways
redeemed for the new
for the rest of our days.
Old bitter resentment,
old tempers and demands
substituted for the new
as we obey Your commands.
Old greedy desires,
old habits and lusts
converted for the new
when we began to trust.
Old creature gone,
exchanged for the new
all because Lord, Jesus
we’re beholden to You!
~~~~~~~~~~
Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold,
all things are become new.
